Hey Dude
Looking for the extra panels the 09's have
1- over the oil pan area
2- down both sides of the body/ chassis--they start at the rear of the front wheel, I think or close to that point. There are a total of 3, drivers side is one piece and passenger side has 2 pieces.
Dont think people have caught on to the value of these little things--hehe. So I posted to try and help educate some?
They really smooth the undercar airflow much better.

Anyone have pictures? I have not see them yet. Curious how similar the under engine panel is to the beatrush unit.

Its nice to know that mazda added these, I have wanted to build my own for a few years now, either out of aluminum or a thin abs plastic. Who knows if I will ever get around to doing it. I want to attatch them to the mazdaspeed sideskirts and maybe even run them under the rear suspension and attatch it to the rear underspoiler.

I took these of a 2010 GT that I worked on. Everything looked the same but i didn't really examine it.

Yes I like them. OD have you noticed any improvment on the track?

Mazda got a CD reduction in 09 from .31 to .30 and I believe it was mostly due to the underpanels and they could have done so much more work under there.

Once I get my supercharger (maf based blow through procharger) dialed in I will be doing a complete underpanel project. I just wish I was able to test CD to see before and after. But since I cant, I will be doing coast down test. Basicly timing how long it takes for the vehicle to coast from 100 down to 60 MPH before and after the mods. I have a few other aero mods in mind including a front spliter (track only).
