Mazmart's New Website

We've been laboring long on this thing after having one of the most ancient sites possible. I hope you like our new site. We have a lot to improve and will provide on-line purchasing as soon as we can. Be sure to turn up the volume in the media section.

Here she is: http://mazmart.com/

Paul.

Very nice. I'm guessing when you are ready for orders the PARTS sections will be clickable?

Yeah, the online ordering is the next step that I'm working on. I want everything to be perfect and efficient. I want for people to enjoy the experience and feel secure with the transactions.

Paul,

I checked it out yesterday and it looks GREAT! The old one definitely needed a redesign.

I dig it the animation and effects, but what about usability? Will a user be able to skip all the fluff and get straight into the e-comm?

That's the plan. Some people enjoy the fluff and some want only to get down to business. We'll try to facillitate everyone.

site looks good, but if you want my real opinion: I would not have chosen to do everything inside of flash. It prevents pages from being bookmarked, the site from being properly indexed by the search engines, and there's no way for people to share urls from within the site with others.

Can you bookmark the media section, or a link to a specific part that you want?

The answer is you can't.

I'm not ragging on the site or anything, the site looks really good. But it's a design consideration and doing it 100% in flash eliminates some things that might otherwise be considered important (such as ranking in the search engines by having anchor and organic links to things besides the home page).

Mazmart website needs a "skip the fluff" button.

That button should link you to the business end, for buying some of the great products they offer.

The fluff has it's place though, so makes for an enjoyable experience, and for users or future buyers getting info. on products.

Nice site! Will it have a price list new and used parts once the online buying is working?
