Brand New OEM Upgraded Starter
That is right. Brand new upgraded starter for the 2004-08 6-Speed trans. Mazda no longer offers these as they have gone to a Remanufactured unit. Order these directly from our Website....http://mazmart.com/ItemDetail.aspx?id=513. Presently our Website is not setup for foreign purchases (outside of US). Please call or Email us.

The part number was originally N3H1-18-400 then it became N3H1-18-400A and eventually became N3Z1-18-400 which is what we're selling. The newest version available in the US is N3H1-18-400R0A which is a remanufactured unit and requires your core in exchange.
If you have the original it will say N3H1 on it. If you have the first revision, which is MUCH quicker than the original it will also say N3H1 on it with an 'A' afterward. I can't make any statement regarding the function of the reman units from Mazda but ours is the latest of the quick OEM types.
I hope that wasn't too confusing.
Paul.

Ok thanks, I'll keep this in mind for next time (installed a reman from an autoparts store). If Mazmart is listening they should answer emails as I got no response when I sent multiple emails regarding stock of the starter as the site has them listed as out.
best way is to call them, someone will pick it up in seconds.
or if u don't want to talk, just pm mazmart and u will get a respond.
a reman will work as good as new, assume it was rebuild correctly. Mazda just like any OEM their reman requirement is usually higher, so u will get the part that last just like or almost like new.
