AutoExe Sport Suspension Kijima Spec

This is probably the best street suspension available for the RX-8 bar none. Developed by Autoexe with the guidance of Mr kijima, the veteran suspension guru from Mazda who was instrumental in the FD RX-7 as well as the 787B race car.

The price is right and it usually arrives within 2-3 weeks.

Interesting!

Few questions:

1. Do you know who makes the dampers?

2. Is there a version of this kit for the S2? If so, are there any differences to account for the S2's rear suspension tweaks?

3. What are the maximum and recommended ride heights for this kit?

I will try my best to respond properly:

1. AutoExe does not provide that info, although they do with some few products as Cusco makes our LSD units and Maxim Works makes our headers.

2. MSE7850 is for all years of RX-8.

3. Ride height: This kit is not meant for the super low crowd but rather the quality handling and fun folk. We sold two sets locally and set one up in our shop slightly lower than stock (1" ?). The owner LOVES it. He said it travels softer over bumps and yet out handles the previous Bilsteins that were on.
I will still try to get more exact numbers for you tonight.

Paul.

Recommended ride height

With the Kijima Spec suspension, here are the recommendations, for S1 and S2:

Recommended height.
-15mm from stock(Front and Rear).

Lowest height
-20mm(Before facelift model).
-25mm(Facelift model).

Nice! Thanks, Paul!

Do you know if this kit can be set to preserve the stock ride height?

I guess so. I would go with the recommended setting though, as it is not very low.
