Some info about shipping

Here is some info about UPS shipping:

If a part is in stock with us at our actual warehouse in Santa Barbara or City of Industry, CA. and you order it that day, most likely (if not an air item) it will ship the next business day.

If you order a part and Mazdaparts does not have it in stock, but one of our distributers does such as Racing Beat does, it usually takes them 1-2 business days before your product gets shipped, even if an air item. Sometimes Racing Beat will have stock. You will call them and even verify check stock, however the parts need to be assembled and boxed, this causes delay in your order so it does not ship right away. Things like this are out of our control please understand and be patient.

If you have a big race, show, or similar event, or trying to impress some girls, please try to plan ahead so disappointments do not happen.

Some vendors have drop ship fees or DO NOT drop ship at all; usually we try to avoid these extra charges to give our customers the best competitive prices we can allow. This means we have our drivers in L.A. pick up parts from Veilside, Bomex, JIC, TEIN, Mackin (Volk, Project Mu), etc.. So even if the part is in stock, depending on the route that week it may take a few days for it to be picked up and shipped out.

Another example is 5Zigen delivers to our LA warehouse every week, depending on their delivery schedule it may take 1-4 business days before we receive parts even if they have in stock here in L.A. This avoids their $20 drop ship fee on top of S/H. We dont like to have to charge our customers or raise up prices to accomadate extra charges like this. If you are in a rush and cannot afford this type of wait and will opt to pay extra for drop ship fee, let us know upon ordering.

Normally UPS DOES NOT pick up on Saturdays BUT There is a special Saturday pick up option, however it's very expensive and not a normal option used.

UPS DOES NOT normally deliver on Saturdays UNLESS you opt for Saturday delivery and this only pertains to NEXT DAY AIR items. Ground, 3day and 2day have no Saturday delivery option. Saturday delivery on a Next Day air will add $30 more approx. to the shipping.

UPS DOES NOT pick up or deliver on Sundays and Major Holidays.

VERY IMPORTANT:
Here is how UPS works with shipment time frames:

Ground - UPS picks up that day, you DO NOT count that day as a shipping day, the next business day is the first day of transit that is counted. So lets say you live in NC, SC, or VA which are 5 day zone areas and the package is coming from California. Your package needs to leave on Friday for you to receive it by the following Friday if going Ground.

If you opt for 3 Day Select, and it leaves Friday, your package would be delivered on Wednesday if you live in 5 day zone.

If you opt for 2Day Air, and it leaves Friday, then Tues. would be your delivery day.

If you opt for Next Day Air and it leave Friday, then Mon. would be your delivery day. Now if you opt for Next Day Air plus Sat. delivery and pay the extra costs, then Sat. would be your delivery day.

Zones from So. California pick up point:
1 day meaning ships that day, customer will receive next business day. Includes all of SO CAL and up to about Bakersfield, CA. Fresno and Bay area, is 2 day zone for reference.

2 day zone meaning it ships that day, then add 2 more business days after that day, and that is your delivery day. Includes Nor. California, All of UT, AZ, and almost all of NV.

3 day zone meaning it ships that day, then add 3 more business days after that day, and that is your delivery day. Includes OR, WA, ID, WY, CO, NM, western half of MT, and very small part of North Western TX.

4 day zone meaning it ships that day, then add 4 more business days after that day and that is your delivery day. Includes SD, most of ND, NE, KS, OK, TX, MN, IA, MO, AR, WI, IL, IN, OH, MI OH, and part of W.VA.

Enhanced 4 day zone meaing it ships that day, then add 4-5 more business days after that day, and that is your delivery day. Includes LA, MS, AL, GA, TN, FL NJ, NY, and western half of PA.

5 day zone meaning it ships that day, then add 5 more business days after that day and that is your delivery day. Includes ME, VT, NH, MA, CT, Eastern half of PA, MD, DE, RI, VA, eastern part of W.VA, KY, SC, NC

Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico now do offer Ground service. It is more expensive than regular ground within the continental USA. This is because it is flown in by UPS, they just dont rush it to your door and take their time for delivery up to 5 day wait, hence they offer Ground but you are still paying air type rates.

FYI

- during Christmas season rush, and natural disasters (power outages, floods, Hurricanes such as Katrina, etc. ) - UPS does not guarantee any air items. Packages can and will take longer for delivery in scenarios such as these.

- the most expensive state to ship on the mainland (except Alaska) is Florida.

- the farther you live from a major metro area, the more freight will cost such as body kits, hoods, and oversize items not allowed by UPS.

-DHL and FED EX have similar policies as UPS with similar zones and delivery time frames.

-US Postal (USPS) is used for all PO and APO (military) addresses. We can only ship small items postal with the biggest size probably a radiator or one wheel box as an example. USPS delivery takes approx. 1-2 weeks to UK and approx. 3-5 days to Australia. USPS claims prority mail takes 3-5 days however we have seen packages take almost 2 weeks within Continental USA.

- UPS and DHL DO NOT deliver to PO or APO addresses.

-For International freight shipments, Bax Global (going air) takes about one full week before it reaches customs in country of delivery, and this is most of worldwide.

Hope this helps if anyone had questions about shipping.

Regards,

Joey
