Is the Rx8 Pearl Satin Fuel door two piece. What I want to know is does the inside door open, (inside the hex head ring) seperate form the hex head ring? I have seen others that the fuel door is one piece. I really don't care for that.

The satin Fuel Door looks like it opens seperate from the other outer ring.

Please confirm. Also does this fit under the Gold membership pricing

Unless Matt has a different part compared to what's available everywhere else, the answer is no to both questions.
All fuel doors I saw so far were one-piece - including those that Mazda imports to the US and the one that's available as a JDM part. Even though their design is different, they still open as a whole, not just the center.
I suspect that the picture on the Mazdaparts site is not showing the satin fuel door that's available. I remember a similar picture was posted on the forum when Rosenthal Mazda was contemplating getting a different fuel door but that didn't go anywhere in the end. That was going to be one that's a two-piece.

Thanks for clearing that up. That would be so much tighter if it was like a Motorcycle tank gas cap cover. For the look, if you think about it, just adds bling. kinda like a hubcap. A very nice hubcap though. I wouldn't mind paying twice as much for something that was billet aluminum, alloy or the like, that had that functionality.
