BOUGHT Good, used, OEM cat / catalytic converter for RX8 BOUGHT

Category: Engine - Exhaust
Price: $0
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): Series II
Location (US State/Canada/Int): TN
Item Condition: Used

Update: I found one.
Like the title says, looking for a stock catalytic converter, in good working condition, for an RX8. It's going on a series 2 automatic but my understanding is that any year / trany style should fit..
Willing to pay a fair price for one in good, usable condition inside and out.
Thanks!

Hi earlys2, I'm overhauling the engine in my S2 auto at the moment and I'm going to be deleting the cat. It works as far as I know, I can pull it off and get some pics of the catalyst for you. The shipping might not be favorable though....

Hey, that would be great! See what the catalyst looks like and if it looks good send some pics. How many miles on it?
Thanks for even considering it and replying.
I hope your build is going well.

So far, so good; just expensive haha. I've done some exhaust port work and I ordered a bunch of parts last week. I'll be using new housings and new seals, new main bearings. I'll snap some pics of it once I pull it off. It's got 83K on it.

I feel your pain. As you know, I've got mine with Rotary Resurrection. While it's just a stock rebuild, I'm having Kevin do it as a turn-key job. I'm used to doing all my own work so paying for labor hurts lol. I've got too many other things going on right now to tackle it myself. I would think it'd be a fun engine to learn how to build and i sure hope yours go well.
If you think to get back to me when you pull your cat I'd sure appreciate it. Be thinking about what you'd want for it, shipped to 37865. I've got to buy something because my midpipe is ruined so maybe I can help fund your project.

Not sure if there is a different Cat for manual or auto but I have a manual 09 cat sitting in my shed with 50k on it. Guts are in perfect condition.

There is a difference. On a manual version the O2 sensor mounting hole is located where it'll make the sensor come in direct contact with an auto transmission. A good welder may be able to relocate the hole though. May be worth a shot since yours in good condition. Did you have a price in mind, shipped to 37865? You can PM me if you'd prefer.

Hi Early S2, here are the pics. The only issue I see with it is one stud is broken. I am not sure what happened with it but my impact broke the stud off. I can cut it flush if that's easier.
