The main features of what is available with this current package:

A solid chassis ($6,500 spent)
  • As pictured, the entire car weighed 2479 pounds (* note in post #3 below items missing, and items which could save weight)
  • A rust free California car with good body panels and paint (other than the clear coat on the truck and roof)
  • A professionally built roll cage by Kontrolle Engineering.
  • 8 main cage structure attachment points, plus fully tied into the A pillars with gussets and along the upper roof body structure.
  • "NASCAR style" door bars which extend into the fully gutted driver's door.
  • X structure door bars on the passenger side.
  • Fabrication to clearance the center driveshaft tunnel to allow for more room for a race seat
  • Custom race seat rails with adjustable mounting locations
  • Sparco Ergo full containment race seat and aluminum mounts

  • A professionally built engine by Haag Performance to perfect factory spec.
  • New rotor housing from Mazda Motorsport used for the build
  • Mild CNC porting, upgraded RX-7 full depth seals, oil mods including Racing Beat high oil pressure regulator

Because I'm sure people will want to know, here's the

List of remaining work to get the car on track
Rebuild refurbished brake calipers and install with stainless steel braided brake lines.
Fill brake fluid and bleed
Fill clutch fluid and bleed
Fill transmission fluid
Fill differential fluid

Mount coolant overflow bottle
Mount battery and run wires
Change alternator wiring
Block off heater hole in firewall
Install front strut brace center bar
Remove bypass for oil coolers (used during engine break in)
Fill gap from radiator core to top of bumper
Address oil pan leak

Re-connect dash wiring harness, and finalize cleanup
Install battery isolator / kill switch
Block off transmission tunnel hole
Install windshield
Install interior rear view mirror
Install hood latches
Install trunk lid latches (remount factory one for now)
Attach lower edge of window net to cage door bar
Install door seals or bumper to prevent rattles
Install fuel door latch
Mount front bumper lower edge
Adjust driver's seat location
Install safety harness
Tighten down steering column, hub, and quick release
Buy wheels
Buy tires and get mounted
Align suspension

(Optional or Later)
Install fire system
Paint inside driver's side doors
