Thumbs up The Ultimate Japanese Wheel Thread! Rays, Works, SSR, Advan, WedsSports, & more!!!

THIS IS IT! The Ultimate Japanese Wheel ***** Thread.........So much shoe madness, you'll go crazy.

Instead of posting pictures of the wheels only, I will try to post some pictures up with them on an RX-8 already. If we can't find any pictures, we'll use the generic wheel picture. But we hope you can help us replace these generic wheel pictures with your own car.

Feel free to post pictures of your RX-8 here with any of the wheels listed in this thread. And I will make the changes.

Oh and if you feel you got a better shoe setup than what's posted. Let us know and we'll replace the picture.

God I love WHEELS!.

Wheel noob here.

What's the deal with Work wheels? Why are they considered superior? Is it largely styling, exclusivity, or do they really perform better?

Work wheels are largely a mix of style and function. Their wheels are lighter than most cast wheels and by playing with width and offset you can change your cars suspension geometry and stance. They're not the best for those who seek pure performance but they're a good mix of performance, style, and price.

not to be rude but you think you could remove the big pictures and put smaller ones up? haha its just throwing off this thread and making the bottom right buttons really hard to get at :/

They're probably not quite for the hardcore track person for sure, I do have a story in regards to their quality though. In 2009 my car underwent a ton of work as Metra/Vibe chose my car for that year's Sema show, during the course of my build I decided to get my wheels re-polished and the centers redone and powdecoated black. When I got my wheels back they had forgotten to balance them, when I took them to have this corrected it turns out that every single wheel was perfectly round and didn't even need weights applied, I think we might have wound up adding one small one to one of the rears if that, I've never seen that before and I've been playing with cars for a really long time, I can only assume had they the wheels been of a lesser quality they would probably have weights all over the place and have been horribly out of round, I drove on them for about 2 years prior to having them redone.
