The one where I was asking about the FM transmitter. Cost me $6.62 shipped to my front door.

Bought 3 of them. 2 where the same, ie red, the other is a bit different with wheel control.

Received the 2 red ones today and of course had to try it out.
Cell phone calls worked ok, not great but ok

To answer calls I do have to push a button on the transmitter.
Need to learn how to make voice activated phone calls.

Had to pair the cell phone with the FM transmitter. Was a breeze to do.
Did not come with any instructions
I just got on my Gphone S3, setting, bluetooth ON, and scan
It found a weird name but I changed it to FM Transmitter.



To play music, well I did not have nor tried a micro sd card.
Will do that later.

I was able to play music on/from the phone thru the car stereo..using the phone's media player.
I had to connect the 3.5mm male to 3.5mm male cable but it is a bit too small.
Need to get a longer one. I know I have some....somewhere.

I was hoping that the FM transmitter would receive the music from my phone without connecting any wire and then transmit it to the car radio.

I thought that was what bluetooth was for.

What surprised me is this, the low cost of the unit, only $6.62 each delivered to my front door. They had a sale so I jumped on it

Does anybody else have any experience with FM transmitters like this?

Not selling anything just pointing out what I bought/ how it worked out/ my experience with it.

 

"5belowzero" the store sells fm transmiters for 5 bucks. the jack doesnt hold in my phone great but it gets the job done.

 

One bad:
It will not play FLAC music files directly from the micro SD card.
It plays mp3s.

Most of my music is in FLAC format. but I can play the FLAC files on my Gphone S3's media player and then onto the cars stereo using the FM transmit function.


Second bad:
The small LCD screen is so hard to read during the day.
Last night it was fine, guess cause it was dark

Third bad:
Will not take the micro SD card directly. I have to insert it into
a micro SD to SD USB converter.
Would be nice to just insert the micro SD card directly into the device.
One less thing (adapter) to keep track of.

 

check out chinavasion.com stereos/dvd. they make one that has a detachable adroid tablet face too. it can be used outside of the car. pretty bad ***.
