The highway was normally a 60mph... but minor construction they had it had 50mph. The flow of traffic was normal though, 65-70mph... and I just was going a little too fast, stupid I know... and I will take the flame for it all, it was dumb.

The cop that got me was on the side of the road in a blacked out Dodge Charger, painted purposely for its purpose at night to be hidden. After he gave me the ticket etc i couldnt think of anything else to say other than "So that thing got the Hemi V8?" he replied saying yes but that he didnt know much about it, I laughed (nervous laugh) and drove off.

Btw for anyone driving through Grapevine, never speed... ive told myself this and tons of others that i know as well... Grapevine will always get you for speeding, thats how they make their money

My last citation was 7 yrs ago. I was speeding on a section of 183 South in a construction zone. As soon as I saw the officer, I pulled over immediately, knowing that I was busted and that there wasn't anyway I was gonna lie out of this ticket.

When the officer pulled in behind me and we started talking, he of course told me what he clocked me at and asked if I realized I was in a construction zone.. I admitted that I knew (DUH! All the tractors and construction equipment gave it away).. anyway, he further told me that I was lucky he got me and not his partner down the way (tag team)...that he could have arrested me for reckless driving in a posted construction zone. (I was busted for going 75 in a 50)

Anyway...that was my last citation and hopefully will continue to be so.. I feel for you though.. In my early driving years, I got 4 citations in 1 night. The first, around 5:30 for running a red-light, 30 minutes later, for failing to stop at a stop sign (which was bs), later that evening around 12am for speeding (55 in a 40) and 15mins after that for speeding on the highway, 80 on a 55 hwy.

The last officer who stopped me just laughed and said, "I can't help what this is going to do to your insurance, but I'm sure you've learned a valuable lesson tonite."

Yeah, I cussed him out..... after he drove off.

You need a Valentine 1. Best $400 I've spent. Had it for years, the lights quit working but the audio is fine. Maybe I should get that fixed before SA

Hi I'm new to this crowd. I feel your pain well kinda, 2 weeks ago I was pulled over for doing 94 in a 60 while racing my brother in law in his mustang. The Sherriff just laughed and let us go. He said it was a xmas present. He had to go 109 to catch up, according to him. Haven't even had the car 6 months. Oh well.
