The meet is back! The 2nd Rex's Across Texas Meet!

Of course this time we will be including the WRX's in the fun. So look for more action and more to see at this years event.

Ryker has done agreat job organizing this event and pulling everything together.

Times and places:
Meet - Cruise - Lunch - GoKarts - Party in Austin!

9- 10 a.m. - Meet at Dave and Busters

10:10 a.m. - Leave for cruise (Cruise map provided at D & B)

12- 1 p.m. - Arrive at Mckinney Falls State Park

1- 2:30 p.m. Have lunch and along with some fun (raffle possible)

2:35 p.m. - Decide who wants to leave to the go-kart track

(We plan on dividing the group into 2 smaller ones so the track will be more fun for all.In addition to this the plan is to divide the two groups based on age. (Sending the 21 and over crowd to the track first so that way they will have time to go home and change if they want to head downtown for the evening.)

4 p.m. or possibly earlier - Gather remaining attendees and head to the track

** We suggest booking your hotel room through the website because it gives you a 15% discount! When booking the hotel plan on setting the dates in the drop down boxes to be March 21 , 2003 through the 23rd if you planning on staying Friday through Sunday. Make sure to put in the comment box that you are there for the meet.

Things you need to bring:

• A full tank of gas. (make sure to fill up before coming to the meet point!)
• 2-way radio (not required but will be very helpful)
• $2 for every person over 12 that will be entering the
• Possibly something to do while your at the park
• Drivers License and proof of insurance

We will take no responsibility for your actions while attending this event. Anyone that will be attending the cruise part of the event must present your drivers license and also a copy of your insurance when you are picking up the map. No Exceptions!!!

My event in the fall will have some Miata's - see sig for basic details..

FWIW- if you know many Miata' owners , you know they don't play well with RX-s anyhow... (many of them anyhow)

I have tried to get co-meetings together off and on for years with them, and the interest level is low.

I've noticed that too, to some degree. In most local cases, there are enough Miata events to keep most Miata folk happy (most people only have so much free time), so there will be little interest in going outside of the group. And, alot of Miata owners are more Miataphiles than Autophiles. But mostly, it depends on which people you talk to.
