This is the flyer and info from the last event. The track owner said the drift events will be every 2nd sunday of the month. There is also test and tune and bracket races going on during the event. Spread the word we finally have a play ground
ENTRY FEE:

Drivers $25
$10 per spectator OR $10 per vehicle (regardless of the number of passengers) with an event flier.

EVENT SCHEDULE:

Drifters arrive at 11:00
Drivers meeting and course walkthrough at 11:30 (for drifters)
Gates open at 12 (excluding drifters)
Racing starts at 1PM
2012 Thunder Road drivers meeting/meet and greet 2PM
Driving for everyone until 5PM

I need all drifters to be at the drivers meeting on time so I can give everyone the run down. Last weekends event was preliminary and we're going to have to implement a couple more safety rules and provide drivers with more information on the course before they take their first stab at it.

SAFETY/TECH INSPECTION (for drifting only!!):

-Must have a minimum of a DOT approved helmet, for drivers and passengers. Motorcycle helmets are acceptable. (I don't want anyone thinking a barbie bicycle helmet will pass inspection). THIS DOESN'T HAVE TO BE ANYTHING FANCY.

-Must have working seat belts (and they must be worn!!!!)

-Batteries must be secured

-Drivers seat must be secured as well as any seat a passenger will be riding in

-No constant fluid leaks

-ABSOLUTELY NO DRIFTING OUTSIDE OF THE DRIFT COURSE

-No hands outside of windows

-Important not to drive past your limits. We want you to push yourself and improve, but within your abilities. If we set up a third gear course it doesn't mean you have to enter in third gear. Our staffers are there to help everyone improve so just take your time and ask for tips whenever needed.

-If you spin out and knock down a wall of cones, simply exit course and allow time for everyone to go out and reset the section. No big deal. But please don't proceed to knock down even more cones lol.

For anyone who is interested in this the next event is Saturday January 14. Drivers must be there at 1200 drivers meeting is 1230 and driving starts at 1300. $25 to drive and $10 to spectate. I believe this will be a drift only event, no test and tune. Hit me up if you have questions and let me know if you will be there so I can get you on a head count.
Looks like there will be a group coming up from New Orleans doing some cageless tandem, should be fun.

 

There will be burgers and hot dogs FREE just sayin haha should be a really good turn out.

The 14th is coming up quickly! This event is going to have a pretty big turn out it seems. Wish more no piston folk were going to be there. So far there is 1SII rx8, 2 SI rx8's, 2 rx7 fc's, and 1 rx7 fb. Gonna be a pretty cool photo shoot :P

 

I know my rx8 won't be there...parts aren't coming in in time. and my 240 has a chance of making it...a very very slim chance, but still a chance none the less. I'll be there with all my business materials ready to take any orders you guys might want to make thought, as well as my good friend trace who runs a parts business. Make sure to hit us up when you guys are there and see what we have to offer

The fb was there, and so was the other fc but she didn't participate. I'm still recovering from this last one lol tore a lot of **** up will all be fixed tonight hopefully. Except for the exhaust shroud I cracked :/ those things are so expensive for just a cosmetic part that is unpainted.

 

I've haven't attended the February event due to financial reasons, and I don't know how March is going to look at this point right now. I have a wedding in 3 months and things get tighter by the day as every last penny is being accounted for by the fiancee and me, and just the 2 of us alone. ****'s retardedly expensive when you want a "nice" formal wedding with good photography, flower, food, etc...


Just do like one of the guys at Mineral Wells used to do. Take the damned things out before you even start drifting lol
