Tail of the Dragon Sept 10-12
I know it's out of your region, but some of the SE guys gotta drive farther then some of you might!
Anyways, in case you don't know what it is, it's 318 turns in 11 miles (on a public highway that is). Thats Nurburgring status, but this wont be a race or time trial or anything. Plans and accomodations have already been laid out for the meet, details here

Oh cmon Dazy...anybody that busy deserves a week off! lol I have 7 weeks of vacation this year and this seems like a pretty cool way to spend a few days of it.
ALWAZL8 - I've driven to Hilton Head, SC a few times from here. It was usually a 16 hour trip, almost 1100 miles. Looks like Fontana Village, NC is about 900 miles from here so I'm thinking driving straight thru would be a good hard 12-13 hour drive. Of course I'm not factoring in all the pit stops every 250 miles :D
I think it would be a good time if we could get a fair number of 8's together and play tag all the way there and back. I may have to show up at one of the local meets and work on you peeps!

We'll see. I know there are a couple breaks in the schedule so I'll check to see if it jives. You should show up at a local meet... did you sign up for the Austin trip? That's another way to spend some vacation and you can play tag with 14-15 other 8s!!
