Super Street staff writer decides to "mess with Texas"
In the September issue of Super Street Magazine staff writer Roel Concepcion writes the following in his article

We didn't like Super (rice) Street before, now we have a real reason to hate them!

I think I'll write here too.
Anyone who reads Super Street has sand in their vagina, and will be kicked in the throat on site. Roel Concepcion is going to get his eyes bored out on the drill press.

Several promoters around the state are considering staging a free car show the same day and near the same locaiton of the Super Street tour when it rolls thru Texas.

When did super street start giving out travel advice? Evidetently there weren't enough street races for them that night.
I think the double promotion slam is a great idea. WONDERFUL!! If they need my help, i'd be happy to contribute.

Oh and also... Insulting the Alamo is horrible. Seriously... DON'T F*CK WITH TEXAS!!
The Alamo is such an honorable monument and does not deserve to be degraded like that. That is the equivalent to giving the thumbs down to the Vietnam Wall or bunker hill (Boston).

When SS comes to Texas, I'll be waiting, with a hunting knife. Or I can help set up the car show, whatever works for you. I'll see if I can get some food from Saltgrass (where I work BTW) for y'all.

that mag is crap anyway, good riddance. So many better rags out there, this just makes it that much easier to ignore this particular one the next time I'm perusing the local newsstand.

Do what they did to Ozzy whn he pissed on the Alamo. Ban him from Texas (may it was only San Anton) for life.

Ozzy and The Alamo
On Feb. 19, 1982, while visiting San Antonio,
Texas, Ozzy was again drunk after drinking a bottle of Courvoisier. Sharon
decided to lock his clothes in the hotel room so that Ozzy would not go
outside and cause trouble. To solve this problem, Ozzy dressed up in one of
Sharon's evening gowns. While taking some photos of himself in drag, he had
to urinate and did so on the historical Alamo building. The Alamo is the
1836 site of the legendary battle between the Texans and the Mexican army.
Ozzy was arrested and charged with defiling a national monument and banned
from playing in San Antonio any further. This would be another blow to his
image that would haunt him to this day. The ban was eventually lifted.
I received a piece of email from one of the officers who arrested Ozzy
at the Alamo. Contrary to the dress we was supposed to be wearing,
he says Ozzy was not in one. This is just one of the many contradictions
in this FAQ. Until they can be proven, they will remain.
Here is the e-mail I received (Thanks Sam):
"I am one of the officers who arrested Ozzy at the Alamo and to set the
record straight he was not wearing a womans clothes. He had on athletic
shoes with no socks, a T-shirt and a pair of sweatpants with no underwear.
He also had a pack of cigarrettes rolled up in one sleeve. He was wasted
and he never spoke. Billy actually arrested him and I
was driving the "wagon" that day. The wagon is a van outfitted for prisoner
transport. I was called to transport him from the Alamo to jail. The jail
was then
directly across from the S.A.P.D. and it now is the Wackenhut federal parole
violator jail. I've kicked myself several times since then for not having
kept copies
of the reports.
I know what he was wearing because I searched him for weapons and had very
close contact with him. Half way to the jail, which was only about a mile
away the dispatchers were already calling wanting to know who had him in
custody. By the time I dropped him off there was a long black stretch limo
waiting for him.
You might note for your records he was actually given a big break. He was
arrested and booked for public intoxication a class "C" misdemeanor which
carries a max $200.00 fine. The law that more appropriately applied was
"Desecration of a venerated Object" which covers among other things
"Shrines." The Alamo is considered a shrine.

I initially thought my opinions and thoughts do not represent Super Street magazine, but I am now aware that I am well-recognized member of the publication and therefore should represent them in every manner, throughout my daily activities-including any e-mails that represent my personal opinions.
It disheartens me to see this reduced to racial slurs against Asian Americans, homophobic remarks, and death threats toward me. I'm sorry to see it to get to that level.
So take my letter as a sincere apology to those offended, and I hope we can move on from this and enjoy the richness of our industry again.

I guess I don't understand why people are so upset about someone's opinion. What the hell is so interesting about that old POS building anyways? I mean come on...
I get so sick of hearing people that moved here to Kansas City from Texas brag about Texas. I've been DFW, Galveston, and Houston. It sucked. Traffic was terrible, heat was terrible.
If it was so goddamned great...go back.

People don't get upset about an opinion... it's just the way the opinion was given.
Publishing on a magazine talking bad about anything is just plain trashy.
I've been to San Antonio many times and had a great time. I've also been to
the Alamo and (although I didn't really care for it) it is still a piece of history that is still there and should be respected. I was a bit pissed when I wasn't allowed to take my camera and snap anything inside the Alamo... I thought this was a bit odd and rude. Matter of fact, this MADE me wanna flip the thumbs down and do it behind their back.
My point is, that their opinion would of been respected if it hadn't been published in such trashy way. That magazine was filtered through many editors and such that something should of been done about it.
Just My 2 Cents.

I guess noone will really understand the kind of disrespect that Texans get just for being Texans...
I guess partly that has helped mold the aspects that make us the way we have become... proud of our history and heritage.
So when we step up to defend our freinds, families or history.... people who don't have those things to be proud of can only deject and detract from the pride that we feel.
I guess that's why have T-shirts down here that say :
and that really says it all. doesn't it.

Someone make a sign and post it in New York that says "The World Trade Center is a Joke!" or "You've been punked by Bin Laden". That would be a funny one! How about telling people in Oklahoma City that "The Mura Federal Building memorial is disgrace that sucks". I wonder how many people that would **** off? Someone go take a crap in the middle of the U.S.S. Arizona memorial at Pearl Harbor and see what kind of response you get. Hell just publicly insult it in a publication there and see what happens. Non Texans are clueless when it comes to patriotism towards their state.
