Soon to be new 8 owner

Hi i'm about to be getting a new 8 in a few months. I came across this site and was reading it for a few days and didn't know if i should join or not cus i don't have my car yet. However I will get an 8 they drink oil and gas but once i test drove one I was hooked. I'm as obssesed with this car as much as dazy is obsessed with stalking them. I'm looking for 8's on the road here in beaumont and tring to see who drives them. I'm drving a modded camaro ss as of right now it's my strip car. I'm saving my dimes for an 8 which i'm looking at getting liek i said in a few. The wait is killing me, i have 8 wallpaper for my computer i have the manuel in my car at work at my home. I have dreams about it... wow I can't wait to mod this car. Anyway just wanted to see how many people are in the beaumont port arthur area with 8's later people.

Welcome to the RX-8Club. This is a terrific place to learn about the car, it's pleasures and its problems. It has dramatically increased the depth and quality of my ownership experience (three years, 77,000 miles of joyous driving).

You are the perfect new member prospect--a guy who loves the car, who is committed to it, but probably has some things to learn about it, even if you won't actually have the car for a while.

There is a tendency for some members to flame others, especially the "noobs". Don't let it bother you. As a courtesy to your readers, do try to present your posts in the best language and eye appeal you can, and don't worry if some individuals don't thing that's enough.

You are welcome!! Read the forum regularly, and enjoy the RX-8 world.

Yes please.

I wasn't trying to be mean, I welcomed you, told you good luck, and maybe gave you a little hard time because your post is one giant block of text.

You're gonna need a thicker skin to stick around over here if you get bother when someone tells you in a rather polite manner to use your enter key.

Few months...that's a long wait, try not to go insane. There can always be a change of plans also.

In the meantime, you'll learn a lot about the car if you just stick around the forums and read what people have to say.

the wait, you will find, will be well worth it. there's no other car that feels like this, even if there are some better performers in several respects. :D

it's an absolute joy to drive and looks freaking awesome, even if it has it's little flaws.

welcome to our humble...or maybe not so much so...community. :D

p.s. why do I suddenly feel very duplicitous? >_>

Well first off thanks for the invite I'm sure I'll get alot of info from you vets of the 8

as for the thickness of my skin you need not worry about that i was just curious

as to what you ment by the enter button thing never really been told to hit enter

every time i started a new line. Most people just... i don't know... read it and move

on. However no biggie. As to the notion that I might get a different car in the

coming months highly doubt it unless some one drops a viper on my drive way.

I've logged about 50 miles on the 8 as of now doing speed tests and things of

that nature for reviews. I'm hooked on this car it has the spirit of a beast just

waiting to hit the speedway. I'm sure I already answered this however seeing as

how I was asked i'll go ahead and say it again. I'm located with in the Nederland,

Port Arthur area of Southeast Texas. If your a flamer and want to flame please let

me know before you post and i'll give you my address so we can handle it the

right way . But anyway thanks for the invite again and does anyone live in my

area that has rx-8 meetings/gatherings/cannonballs?

Lol yea hello enter key , we ahve been introduced to each other. As for the bbq I

have no idea if I'm going to be able to get out there or not. I'll think about it I'm

going to love to go out to things like that once I get my 8 however right now I have

alot of work to do. I'm an artist for a pretty big company so I have lots of things to

get done before the deadlines are up and with the holidays coming up so quick it's

just a bad time right now. I'd love to drive out to baytown on saturdays though give

me a reason to get out of the house hit me up with some more info about that and

I'm sure you'll find me out there.

yeah just go to that website and go to the houston forum. this weekend everyone will be in sealy and katy for the big track day out at the hennessey strip and then the rest will be in galveston for the top fuel cruise and lunch. so probably no hrp this weekend but when nothing else is going on thats usually where everyone gravitates to.
