rough idle, car sometimes dies when let off thottle

i was encouraged by legendkurado to post my issue in the gulf forum cause i might get more responses, but here i go.

my car is an 04 mt with 50k miles on it

it needs:

-tranny fluid swap
-rear differential swap
-oil change soon
-squeeky clutch need to be taken care of
-my undertray has been completely torn off, so it can possibly be diverting the air back towards the ground instead of towards the radiator and the MAF tube
-and other minor things

my problem is that my car sometimes has a rough idle and then sometimes shuts off. I know its not the battery cause the minute it shuts off, im able to start it up again. At a stand still it doesnt shut off, but while on a roll the idle drops to zero and shuts off, there i have to start it up again and sometimes i have to apply pressure to the gas pedal keeping it from shutting off. I did the 20 brake tap thing and the problem seemed to go away and ran strong and fine, but with an iffy idle

mods i have:

ground wire
throttle body bypass
ac colder mod
bb exhaust
and AP pulley that has yet to be installed

what is going on?

my spark plugs were changed at 30k miles

do i possibly need new:

coils?
plugs?
ignition wires?
check my MAF?
check intake position?

tomorrow im removing my intake to check if it was positioned right or incorrectly installed. Please anyone have any knowledge on this?

check your cat. If its clogged it will stop your car from running...And if its only partialy clogged then it could only be a problem when your driving and not when sitting still. What kind of intake you got? I personally doubt its the intake, seeing as the intake gets air from the front of the car not underneeth.

Could probably scratch MAF/Intake off the list unless the actual intake tube is damaged or sensor is loose/out of position and there's no CEL. What in the world did you run over to tear off the undertray?

I rechecked the MAF sensor and it's on, but it was sort of loose. Checked how my intake was positioned and tightened my ground wire kit. My under tray has been tearing off ever since i put on my m-speed bumper and the tropical storm that happen a week ago in houston just completely tore off the rest.

ill check my coils and plugs at the dealer
