Oklahoma City Meet Sept 25th
Saturday Sept 25th with be our first "official" meet. We will meet up at 5pm at Hefner Lake. A map is attached for anyone that doesnt know how to get there. About 6-7 go for a short cruise then head to TGI Fridays on NW Expressway. I know we have about 10-15 people interested. Hopefully this gives everyone time to plan. There is no OU game that weekend either. I would like to see everyone out there. Please just respond to the thread to let me know that you can make it. Looking forward to seeing you all there. If you have any questions let me know.

Looking at driving down to denton, TX in the morning.
I don't know if the dealers around here are playing smoke and mirrors or not, but they're quoting a 3 mo wait on an order and I've found the one i want down there.
(of course the dealer in denton wont trade it )
I'm not looking forward to the drive.

I've always been a fan of white-
Going with white / black leather GT MT
The worst part will be driving slow/varying speeds back. I don't want to do a flat run with 11 miles on the car

Have a great meet tonite. Someone bring a camera and post some pic's after. We have our regular monthly meet coming up next Saturday. Check the Gulf thread for more detals if you guys ever fancied a road trip south.

Yeah I have thought about maybe coming down there sometime. I just got laid off last month so when I find another job I will make plans to come down there.

I'd love to come and join y'all. I'm from OKC but living in AZ now. I was just in town at the end of August. Y'all have a wonderful time no matter who does/doesn't show and take pics :D

It didn't go as well as it should have. One of the other guys organizing the meet for got to send out an email to everyone to check the RX-8 website for information on the meet before he went on vacation. So we only had 4 people show, but we had a good time. We will get things going for next month. We have about 10 or so peeps interested. Here are a few pics.

Next month there'll be a pearl white down there on the end of the row :D
I spent all day dealing with bank/driving/dealer/driving(to and from texas) and ended up home on sat at midnight with my new '05 RX8.
I spent the rest of the weekend down in norman(as usual) but now I'm finally home. I'm doing my best to break the engine in 100% properly but its pretty hard not to 'drive it like I stole it' because this car wants to go.
Edit: There isnt anywhere good locally to get clear corners are there? I've searched around online and found some places.(any reccomendations on that as well?)
