I am sorry John, I thought you meant at the Coffee and Cars parking lot the actual location is Panera Bread at 1604 and Blanco.

If we make it I look forward to meeting you. Also check out the SARX Facebook page as we typically use that to organize.

What up guys!

Has anyone had a nail in their tire and the shop told it wasn't repairable due to it compromising the integrity of the tire? The interwebs confirm this statement but it is the first time I've been told this. I just replaced a 2k old tire as a result...

When I got home and inspected the 'old' tire the nail barely pokes through which upsets me even more. If it is toast then at least I can use it to workout with it...

Most legit shops will tell you that just due to liability concerns and because they want to sell you a new tire. Repairs are iffy, sometimes they can last forever and some times they don't. But generally if it's not close to the sidewall they will fix it. At least that is my buddies general rule at his tire shop.

Yea it's proximity to the sidewall that matters as far as I know

Im new and been meaning to meet up as well but havent had time. If youd like we can setup something as well I'd still love to meet up with other 8's.

as for Jason thats bull, go to another tire shop they can fix it. As for the liability concerns yeah that is true but doesnt mean they cant do it. Just be aware of consequences, however if it is as small damage as you say it is then no problem. Sidewall punctures will cause them to say no though...
