Greetings everyone,

I just wanted to let everyone know that some of the threads in the Gulf forum are starting to get quite a bit off-topic. While I support and encourage events and the continued camaraderie that this forum creates, I must also consider the rules of the forum.

The Gulf Regional section was been created for the purpose of exchanging information regarding meetings, events and other RX-8 related issues that pertain directly to the Gulf Regional area.

Several threads have been and are being created that are either personal in nature or do not fit the scope of this section. Those are the types of threads that either belong in the Lounge section or in most cases offline. Many other threads start with good intentions however because of a (overly) relaxed culture in the section those threads have gone out of control. In regards to this I share just as much of the fault as anyone else.

So, what does this mean to you?

I will be stepping up my enforcement of the rules of the forum and you might find that several threads will be closed in the next few days. If your thread is closed, you can be assured that it has drifted too far off-topic and is not the type of thread we will allow to continue in the future. At no time will any actions be made to censor a person or group however, I can assure you that the most social and irrelevant threads will possibly be closed. (sorry guys)
