TX Not sure if there is a place to post this...

But. I'm new to the forum. Live in central Texas, Temple area. Just moved here, lookin for other rotary nuts. figured I'd post to see if anyone else lives around here, I'm gonna try and make it to the 2011 meet for sure. depending on money and work situation. Guess we'll see, I drive an 04 green rx-8. nothin really moded on it....yet....cept my fog lights working with my parking lights. Lookin to do full LED's, in and out, exhaust to make it sound beautiful, ram air and accent lighs all along the inside. eventualy I'll get a spoiler, cause my rear feels naked.

https://www.rx8club.com/gulf-rx-8-forum-32/ Ram air is pointless btw. Mazdaspeed/AEM or Racing Beat are the only ones worth getting.

It really is... well owning my 8 is. i find myself wanting to turn the DSC off and finding a winding road, i LOVE drifting in this car, I Never knew a rerl wheel close to perfect balance vehicle with a 9k wrap around would be so..... Glorious lol. I can honestly say I love this car more then any one I've ever owned, and its a blast to drive..... but I'm sure you guys share the same feelings

careful with that drifting, many drift into curbs, ditches, etc.

I definitely feel you man, after all these years still nothing in my price range excites me like the 8. I went rolling through a car meet (oldies, rat rides, foreigns, etc.) showing off my new wheels and exhaust last night and all the ooohs and aaahhs made me proud. A simple clean 8 can turn heads. I still get mad dogged by some of the old muscle heads but for the most part everyone appreciates a clean rotary.

I can't wait to get some nice lookin mods and a new exhaust. I love \all the heads that turn when It's freshly cleaned with my sunroof up and windows half down. it really is a beautifully molded and contoured car. I'm so happy i got it. I've had it for a couple months now. and I've used this forum for a few things. so i finally decided to join, cause I'm not getting rid of this one any time soon

Welcome aboard, fellow NG. Hope you can make it out to the Texas 8, but do keep in mind that drifting will be a no-no on the trip. Bad things can happen on blind turns, especially when cliffs are involved.

On Bluetooth! Cept when the dang thing falls out, it's a pretty quiet phone call, have my buddy just say if a car is coming or not. Seems to work well for me it's a pain sometimes though, havin to slow down a bit and wait for the go..... Then again I'm not ballsy enough to just go without knowing on the back roads of west fort worth lol. Now I gotta find a whole new set of roads and a new buddy to drive ahead since I'm in belton. =\ needless to say I haven't gotten to drift in awhile
