New To Hill Country

Hey Guys,

I am moving to the Hill Country (Harper) come the 17th of March. I have an 03 RX8 6spd. I would like to get to know the area and hopefully meat some people as I know nobody out there. Any advice?

Jerry

The Hill Country rocks. Great roads out there. Don't have too much fun! Where is Harper? I've never been there. I get out through Boerne, Comfort, Frederickburg, Johnson City, etc a few times a year.

pffft, no bowing necessary lol I just do the site (for free, just to help the club out) and try and organize stuff every now and then. We do have a drive on the 18th, I suspect that may be soon for you but I believe there is another on the 31st and then our monthly meeting occurs every first wednesday of the month. Come on out whenver you like, it's getting to be the time of year to go drive, showoff etc

Wow, Harper. That's West of Fredericksburg. You are out in the country. What brings you out there? It is beautiful in the Hill Country, but watch out for Deer. They will ruin your day quickly.

You should head up to the Lake Buchannan area sometime. There is a nice Winery there called Fall Creek. Also, for an awesome twisty road to reach it and a cool boat tour when you get there check this out: http://www.vtrc.com/. Hwy 16 out of Fredericksburg runs into Llano, and then 29 East from there. Nice thing about the roads out there is you can run 70 and not even get a glance from the cops; just obey the city limits speeds.

There is so much to do out there. Enchanted Rock is a good day hiking spot; just do it before Summer hits. Fredericksburg area has many things to do: http://www.fredericksburgtexas.com/attractions.html

I am so jealous; I wish I could live out that far. Alas, I work in the Austin metro area and cannot commute that far.
