new to the forum/Houston

I didn't know where to post~ so I picked this part of the forum. I'm dne', West Houston/Kirkwood and Memorial. Driving an '04 RX8. I just learned about flooding my engine!! Anyway, I'm into dirtbikes and roadracing too. I'm trying to teach my husband to ride; mainly will be going to the National forest hopefully soon! That should start things! dne'

I ride a sport bike, a Yamaha R1 Raven 06 and I have a 04 RX8 as well. I live in the Cypress area around 290 and Huffmeister. I was wondering the same thing as you Denee. I think it's cool you ride too. I'm actually trying to sell my motorcyle though. I don't want to but have too. The big D changes alot of things.

I've had several sportbikes, but everytime I get on the street, it's just no fun; traffic is just to overwhelming for a bike of any kind. That's why I'm getting into dirtbikes, and on occasion, I'll take my tLr to the track. But I kind of have my heart set on the little NEWLY designed Ninja 250r; just to have something inexpensive to ride on a nice sunny morning! In a strang way, even driving my RX8, I can't drive it the way I'd like
` Im still on probation from a speeding ticket~takes the drive out of me!

That's pretty much the reason I gave up street bikes, just too many close calls. Losing a colleague a couple of weeks ago pretty much ended my thoughts on buying a Gold Wing.

ATVs are a nice alternative and General Sam's in Huntsville is a good place for some off roading.

I really don't want to get rid of my R1 but I need to cause divorce is expensive. I have tried to figure out different ways around it but nothing good has come yet. If you have any tips please let me know. I'm selling the bike for 7500 and it's in perfect condition except for the tires, it could use a new front one.

Yes! Your name sounds familiar. Yes, I had the rs for a little while. Actually a perfect little head turner for around here, but NOOO, I have to have something else! lol It's capable of 75mph, pretty quick for 50cc! So, yokee, where do I know your name from?

Yes, that's where you know me from. I don't get on there very much anymore. I sold it to carbon1.5. For beebopping around Houston streets, it's all one needs. I don't know if she told you the story on that bike? I found the bike in Florida, plus I found a little SUV(Toyota 2door RAv4). I booked a flight to Florida, the man that owned the Toyota met me at the airport, I bought the RAv, bought a small trailer at a nearby Pepboys, drove 200 miles to where the bike was, spent the the night at the mans home(very nice). Drove it all back.
I know quite bit about the RS's. Also www.apriliaforum.com is a great site for parts and additional information.

The guy I bought it from was an Aprilia nut~ he had about 5 ranging from the 50cc to the 250cc. They're becoming kind of rare as I believe they're not being brought to USA anymore~ so in a way, it's kind of a collectors item!
This is my little caravan back! I guess I was just looking for a little adventure; my husband was away in South America~ I needed something to do! lol

I wanted to make a little Hot Wheels car, and that's what I did and am stil doing.

I'm also on MH. My alter ego is Ridn'1Raven. I don't know if I've rode with either of you though. I love riding and miss it, but I'll get another one I still have it and want to ride but I need to register the bike and buy a front tire. My Pilot Powers cost a good $350 for both and while I'm selling the bike I don't think it's worth dumping the money into it. Where do the RX-8's meet?

I've never really riden with any one on MH. If I did, it would have been a MSRH, TWS or Cresson. I usually ride alone as most riders ride to fast on the street for me. I just like to get out now and then (when I've had a bike) enjoy riding, go home and ride another day. But Houston is crazy with traffic and construction!!!
As for where the RXs meet, I don't know. I only joined this site a little bit ago.

Sorry it took so long to post again
I've been busy lately
I rode for almost a year with Spring Sport Bikes guys but with MH only a few times and discovered I am too slow
For RX8, I got it on december (traded the 636) and is my daily dirver.
I really like it!
