Need some help from a dallas member

Ok, I'm trying to sell my current 8 which is an auto so that I can buy an MT 8. So far my luck has gone like this. I finda nice 8 that possibly may have been a managers car. I put my car on autotrader, someone contacts me the next day via email. It turns out to be a scam artist. The car I was hoping to buy sold the day that he first contacted me. This past friday a guy from my dads work calls wanting to buy my car, problem is he has to sell his. In the mean time I have found another car. Saturday a guy calls me at 4 saying he is interested in buying my car. He says he is going ot try to ocme over sunday (today) I call the dealer to make sure that the car I'm hoping to buy is still there. 6 o clock the guy I called calls me back. Tells me he sold the car 2 hours ago to a guy in dallas (the same time the guy called me wanting to look at my car) End of my luck story. Heres where I need help

There are no more cars here that get my attention. But there is one that I would be interested in looking at:

285 miles is a long drive for me to look at a car. I was hoping that I could get someone who lives nearby to take a look at it for me and see if its running fine, hasn't been in any wrecks or anything of that matter. Then if it turns out to be good andI sell my car I can drive up there and buy it. If anyone is willing to do this for me please let me know.

I was looking at the ad. The car looks really clean. It states that it has 16" rims, which should be 18" for the manual tranny. Unfortunately, I live on the southwest side of Fort worth. If I get a chance to go up there, I'll go check it out for you.

Well, those are the 18's, so I don't know what they are talking about. If I am in Denton this week I'd be glad to check it out.

Woz,
Call David Preston, who is the internet manager at Classic of Denton. ( I believe he's listed in the ad.)
He's a straight up guy, and should be able to get you any additional information you need.
Get him to pull a carfax for you, and take some additional pictures if needed.
I bought my 8 (new) from him, and it was a hassle free deal.

If I weren't going out of town for the rest of this week, i'd go drive it for you.
If you don't make any progress until friday, I'd be happy to go check it out (I'm driving to Nacogdoches this afternoon, and will be back Friday.

If Slim can't make it, I could go--I live in Lewisville (a few miles south of Denton). Make sure you tell them you want that HUGE honkin' "CLASSIC" sticker off the back of the car (it's above the Mazda emblem on the lower left of the trunk lid). Damn those stickers are fugly...

I saw that sticker. I do want it off even if I have to take a blow dryer to it myself. While You can sometimes trust salesmen Its still nice to have the car checked out. I went to look at one a while ago that looked nice in the picture, but when I actually got there the leather was terribly worn, Alot of the stuff inside like the ashtray was broken, It had a huge gash in the front, which I couldn't tell from the pictures :/

With someone helping me I dont have to drive 285 miles and find that out and drive back XD.

Thanks alot for your help guys.

Make 'em write it in the contract that they'll remove it. If they screw it up, they'll be stuck making it right. Either that, or make them give you money for advertising for them!!!
