My son's 04 AT overheated and blew the apex seals etc. I need to replace/repair/rebuild it. I'd be willing to do some of the work, buy used/reconditioned parts or whatever it takes to get it running at a reasonable price.

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. The Dealership wants almost $5k, but thats all new and replacing lots of parts that might be able to be re-used

anybody have any suggestions in Houston or towards Conroe?

Umm you could pull the motor out and bring it to Austin and i could rebuild it for you. plus check and mic internals to see if they are in spec. rebuild kits cost around 1200 bucks.
