Question Louisiana RX8's

Has anyone with an RX8 in Louisiana had any of the engine/spark plug/flooding problems discussed in threads under RX8 Discussion?

Just curious.

Did the dealership tell you what to do or not to do so it wouldn't happen again or have you been reading the threads from other owners?

Mine is supposed to be here as soon as next week, but possibly not until December week one. I'm just trying to stay on top of any info that may help me once mine gets here.

I just purchased mine last week and probably have not had it long enough for that kind of problem. What causes this?

The best I can tell is "cold" starts and stops. If you don't let the car warm up before you cut it off then it floods. I've tried to make a conscious effort to let me get warm every time I get in it, even for short periods - if I have to sit in the car for a few minutes once I get where I'm going, so be it......I'd rather do that than have to deal with it going to the shop because I flooded it!

I got mine the day before Thanksgiving and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE it!

Have had mine almost 2 months now, no flooding problems at all, however, I never start it without letting it come to operating temperature.
