I've heard that the HO can cause ghosting on curved glass where the person applying it gets it too hot when they heat shrink it. If you've paid for the HO, you might find this thread on a tint installer's board pretty irritating...

I spent some time on there the other day and it makes me sick knowing I paid between 350 and 450 (you figure it out) for the whole job when it's rediculously easy for them to tint. Even better is what everyone thinks about the HO ... high margin stuff... Oh well, iI guess it performs well and the job does look good.

Has anyone other than me been told that HO film was primarily meant for flat glass application and that installing it in a car could yield less than desirable results?
Unfortunately I won't make July's RX meet at Rudy's. I'm looking for a tint shop that carries V-Kool in Austin, know of any? I'm thinking V-Kool 70 on the front doors and Llumar Ti on the back doors and rear.

I want the "heat-cutting without the dark tint" of the V-Kool upfront...night vision isn't what it used to be...although a lighter tint of the Llumar might be ok.

In any case, it will be a late July at the earliest operation.
