Houston, TX. Drivers + Lowered Cars = How do you get around?!
Pretty much what the thread title says...
Alright, so I'm from Dallas originally. Potholes and street conditions were a lot better there.
With koni yellow and s-techs driving around Houston is a pain in the rear.
I don't get why pretty much every store is on some kind of incline here and I scrape those all the time. Plus there is soo many potholes here - the konis are not liking these at all, I feel like I'm bouncing all over the place.
The konis are set almost full soft.
So what are you guys secret around here with lowered cars?
Air bags? LOL

I take my car all over Houston and also to downtown. The trick is to approach the inclines at a hard angle all the way until you get into the parking lot.
Plus if you know the street conditions you can eventually map out a better route or just learn to dodge the bad parts of the street you travel on.

You should consider yourself lucky lol. Not a good feeling every time you hear "keeeeeeeeshuuu" going up these mountains
Wouldn't have installed my S-Techs before coming here if I knew the conditions were going to be like this lol.
Love the looks and handling though .

Oh, yeah I think I remember reading about that awhile back - such a tragedy to see that happen to a silver 8.
I had thought it was due to all the crappy Houston roads and inclines LoL!
At the time I thought it was just a bumper you used for daily driving.
It's the curse man, the curse!
Always admired yours though :P

- My silver 8 got backed into on the driver side fender...
- Someone rear ended me on a red traffic light, shoved me across traffic and ran (took right turn at light while I was helpless trying to reverse back onto oncoming traffic).
- Going 70 on the freeway in Waco, a stupid truck drove on top of a large sheet of wood and sent it flying towards me (thank God it did not hit the windshield), cracked and destroyed front bumper on passenger side.
- Replaced and repainted front bumper I got from canaryrx8 - and recently someone backed into my front bumper again... left scratches and black marks, most of it buffed out though...
- Also someone backed into my passenger side rear bumper and left spider cracks on it
- Other than that just all these random door dings from careless people
Always admired yours though :P

This exactly why I haven't lowered my car yet. I don't know what the deal is, but apparently no one around here has any common sense when it comes to building driveways. Not to mention the ridiculous speed bumps that are 6-8 inches tall in some places. Even with my stock ride height I sometimes have trouble.
