HS!!! We have the same **** happen here too! KSJO, the rock station, got replaced by a Latino Station! I mean come on, as if there isn't enough stations for them to listen to! Almost half the stations out there are Latino! That's just great, how about changing all TV stations next...

I'm mad.

I stopped caring about the radio after Z-Rock went extinct years ago. I only listen to CD's now. KLOL was still the only station that was even halfway decent here though and now we have nothing. Thanks alot Clear Channel, you liberal idiots.

Liberal? I thought CC was ultra conservative! They kicked howard stern off the air, killed the eagle (which had one of the most liberal morning shows on the air, well, maybe not politically liberal but media liberal, Grego and Bryan, from houston) and they required censoring of half the songs before they did it (even ones that had been played for years w/o being censored).
**** the FCC and **** clearchannel!

Anytime I get pissed off I just blame the liberals. It's my default blame. It's easy. Ultra conservative isn't necessarily good either though.

(I'll miss KLOL too, though I haven't listened to them in a while.)

I listen to 94.5 THEBUZZ and havent really left the station on 101 KLOL in years, but it is still sad to see it gone. CLEAR CHANNEL tried to get rid of THEBUZZ a number of years ago, and a lot of listeners protested that, so they where just moved. From 107.5 to todays 94.5
If they can drop KLOL, they can drop any of our stations, something needs to be done......

Yeah that really sucks, especially since my morning alarm is set on 101.1... Don't ever wake up to an accordian, it ruins your whole friggin day

Clear Channel is obviously looking to take some chances since they are parting ways with Howard Stern... Guess I'll have to seriously start considering XM Radio

You sure its just a Latino station? I heard some kind of Middle Eastern music as well as Latino on Saturday. I was going to work and hit the preset and BAM, I am like WTF!

Long live Rock!

Austin has seen some major changes recently too:

A hiphop station got replaced with a talk radio station (wtf?)

The oldies station got replaced with BOB FM. "Bob got tired of having to change channels all the time, so he bought his own station and now he just plays whatever he wants" They play commercials like that all the time. They don't play a specific genre, its just a general easy listening type of BS.

The classic rock station (which I listened to the most) got replaced with "World Class rock" Its a mixture of oldies+classic rock+hits from the 90s.

I too have been seriously thinking about sirious radio :p
