Hello everyone!

I have recently relocated to the Houston area and I am looking to buy an RX-8 very soon. Does anyone have any recommendations for good dealers?

Also, what sort of price can I expect in this area? I am looking for an 8 with all of the goodies except navigation. Are they selling fast, or are they trying to get rid of the 2004's before the 2005's come out?

Jay Marks, I can say from experience, is awful, just stay away, you'll be glad you did.

Mazda of Kingwood seemed to me to be a bunch of hard selling time wasting a-holes as well....I didn't talk to them for very long because I got that impression from them, can't say for 100% sure though.

I've used Jeff Haas for parts, they weren't bad.

As far as the RX-8 inventory moving fast....the answer is a definite NO. At Jay Marks I looked at 3 different cars, and the build dates on them ranged from 6/03 to 8/03, they've had these cars FOREVER, and still have a whole mess of them in inventory. Other dealers have less inventory, but that's probably because they don't play games and are serious about getting rid of them. You should be able to get a great deal, just be WELL PREPARED, and don't shop monthly payment.

Oh yeah, there are some killer deals on 24 month leases.....as in $3500-4250 off.

 

Stay away from Jay Marks--at all cost!! Jeff Haas and Joe Myers are decent dealers--I always go to Jeff Haas. Definately go to Jeff Haas for service, one of the guys - Allan Hempel, has an RX8 himself so he is on the same page.

 

If you are on the north side , or not, check out Gullo in Conroe. My salesman Sean is off on a trip right now but they are good to deal with for sales and service. Tell them that ezrider sent you and you will either get shot or a good deal. :D

 

Joe Myers Mazda is where I purchased my RX-8 from. They had very good service, and they are willing to work out a good payment plan, as long as your credit is.

 

I am iffy on Mazda of Clear Lake. They gave me a good deal but I felt a little dirty after doing it. If your looking for a Subaru I can tell you the guy to buy from...

Who did clemson almost lose to this weekend. Wasn't it two OT's with a non ranked team. And it was my team with a 31-0 win that dropped to 19th.

After test-driving the 8, I just can't imagine getting another car. The anticipation of getting one is killing me!

By the way rev-2-9k, Clemson just barely sqeaked it out with Georgia Tech. We definately need to improve before we get to some real games. Sorry about your team....I just don't understand the polls sometimes! I guess it all works out by the end of the season so the BCS can screw it all up again! HA!

 

I think you play Georgia Tech this weekend. It was Wake Forest last week.
