Houston 8s

There's been a lot of traffic from people in and around Austin ordering this car, but what about Houston? I usually end up spending a lot of time in Austin, but I live/work in Houston. So who's already ordered in H-town?

There is DrKillJoy (Keith), who happens to be President of the Houston RX-7 club. I think he is getting an RX-8 next year...

I had a gray own coming in about two weeks. I switched to a third allocation yellow which will be coming in 5-6 weeks.

Jeff Haas is my dealer in case you wanted to know.

Killjoy is fixing up his second gen RX-7. I'm not sure when he is going to buy an RX-8

So does anyone know of any 8s showing up in Houston yet? Everyday I strain to look as I pass Jeff Haas on my way to work, but nothing even remotely visable from the road - other than a gaggle of 6's.

This is a bump.

The Titanium car I listed will be available in about a week or so.

I'm just trying to get someone in the door. Haas was nice enough to let me switch colors. I'm just trying to find them a new buyer.

I sold the first confirmed one to hit the ground yesturday. It was the red one, I am trying to get confirmation from the new owner if I can post pictures. He is not currently a member of the rx8 forum.

As a salesman, you should tell more interested people about the forum - it's good for them (lots of information), and good for you (builds enthusiasm).

My 2 cents...

I tell every single person that I talk to about the RX8, I can say this with confidence, the people on this forum are way way more educated about the vehicle than I am, so I send them all here. On a different note, I just sold the second one that we got yesturday as well. So for us, 2 in 2 sold. A red one, and a black one.

Richard

Also, I got permission from the first owner to post pics, I'll be doing that today.

Man, the cars are trickling out of Midlothian slowly.

I went to Munday Mazda (close to my work) to sit in one and none were there - not a big surprise.

What was a big surprise was that they said that they haven't had any RX-8's come in period. Which is strange because they have more preorders than any other Houston Dealership.

I think it is about time we go to Midlothian and load the cars ourselves. Get the keys up there, drive the car to the dealership and then let the dealers do the prep. Screw the car carriers.

I agree with Wiggles. Show me where to get in line - I'm tired of waiting on a trucker. I'll drive it from Dallas to Austin to Houston. Good break in to boot!

leases are still just so so through Mazda in my opinion. Nothing to brag about at all. I hope that changes soon.

Yes - the residuals are good but the money factor is real bad from Mazda. Thanks for the photos Richard - that guy should be been smiling more...
