(FW) Pool Tourney Tuesday, May 3!!
This kinda gets buried in the other thread so I thought I’d start another! :D
The Fort Worth Crew hosts a pool tournament the first Tuesday of every month and the next one is Tuesday, May 3. I wanted to make sure EVERYONE in the Metroplex was aware since all are welcome to join in on the fun!!
Where: Rack Daddy’s near I20 & Bryant Irvin (see here for a map: https://www.rx8club.com/gulf-rx-8-forum-32/fw-meeting-tuesday-58866/) -- park in the rear lot
When: Tuesday, May 3 -- 7:30pm
Specials: Pool is free with a college ID (we usually have enough, but bring one if you have one) -- Beer is only $2
There should be NO excuses for not attending. :D We’ve all recuperated from the Austin trip, the weather is nice, it’s not a holiday and I don’t want to hear from Dallas members that it’s too far to drive because Fort Worth members have driven out to Addison several times in the middle of the week.
We’ve got a semi-new member, a possible new mod and we always have tons of fun!! Even if you don’t like to play, come on out!! Spectators are welcome!!
Since we never seem to agree on the “rules” of the game, here’s a few that can guide us along. I know the list is incomplete so post anything I’ve missed.
General Rules: Double Elimination w/best out of 3 in each round
Scratching on the break results in ball in hand behind headstring
Pocketing the 8-ball on the break results in a win
Pocketing the 8-ball on the break & scratching results in a loss
Pocketing the 8-ball when it is not your last ball results in a loss
You cannot use your opponent’s ball to pocket your own ball
Combo shots must be called
No **** shots allowed
Remind Dazy if she’s solids or stripes :D

Amber-Maybe
Richard-Maybe
Nyt-Owl
Garland
Slims8
Blue
Hollywood
Please post in here whether or not you're coming and anyone else you're bringing that wants to play so I can make sure the bracket is accurate (or at least close).

Why am I always last on the list??? :D Just kidding. By the way, there is really no point in coming this week as I am coming to retain my title. Although the more I get to beat in the process the better.

Ooh! What's this? That's a lot of smack talk coming from someone who's barely old enough to get into the pool hall! The youngin' thinks he can beat the rest of us? I think it's time we teach him to respect his elders!!! :D

$2 bottle beers all night and we usually stay until the tourney is over, maybe 11? If we're having a really good time, it will be later :D One time Richard got us all drinking shots and I don't think I left until 1am! Whoo, that was a fun night!

Lol, sorry Mic, started to rain and I couldn't keep the boys any longer. :o
