For those of you from San Antonio that like beer... you should give freetail a try. It's a small brewery/restaurant off 1604 (near the academy). They have some pretty good food and damn good beer. They've been open for a little while, but I just went with some friends the other day and really liked it. I'm at home in houston for the summer so I had to fill my growler before leaving... So yeah, give it a try!

 

I went there on Thursday at around 7 and had a beer. It was a pretty cool place. I wanted to see if anyone was at Academy but I think I was a little too early.

Yeah, I probably won't be able to make it out that late. I'll try the Biff place on a Friday.

I'll have to check it out. Thursday doesn't work, I have to drop my kids off in new Braunfels but another day would work.

 

Sweet! I love brewpubs. I always thought San Antonio needed another one. Blue Star just doesn't cut it for me. Houston is Brewpub hell though as none except Two Rows can seem to survive. Next time I get out there, I'm going. Thanks for the tip!

 

Yeah I love microbreweries, back east that is all you had. Nothing better then a fresh brewed irish red... and a redhead to go with it.
