engine dying?!?!?!?1

engine dying?!?!?!?1

whenever i am driving around and i come to a stop the engine seems to stutter and then die. if i keep it revved it still seems to be inconsistent... anybody ahve any ideas what this is or know of a good mechanic i can take it to to get it checked out? also the sound seems to have changed at low RPMs...

i am also a n00b to rotary so any help is really apprectiated

first check you maf sensor....then make sure all you tubes etc...on your intake are connected....also check your spark plug wires for security....if none of that helps than it could be bad coils....sound change??? my guess would be coils...have you had any power loss at high rpms??

A bad charging system can do this too. A bad battery, so check that.

Also check the plugs and air filter.

same symptoms

I just had the same symptoms on my '04, took it too the dealer and they found that the O2 sensor was bad. Replaced it, idles fine.

i noticed before it was replaced that the exhaust had a different smell as well as the idle problem. My CEL light came on eventually when it got worse.

stuff mentioned above, also check to make sure the plugs are tight.. for that matter you should repace them..

i would also replace the coils.

MAF was the culprit
