Dyno day near SA. Anyone interested?
I would like to set something up here:
Place: Henderson Performance Technologies
Address: 1660 Loop 337 New Braunfels, Texas 78130
Price: $45 for two runs, includes wideband O2 sensor and a printout of your dyno
Directions: You will take I-35N to Rueckle Rd. Exit 184. Turn left on to Loop 337. Then you will take 337 around New Braunfels till you get to River Road, (you will have passed NBHS and a Church) there will be a stoplight. Then there will be a Shell station in front of you on the left, the shop is immediately after the Shell gas station on the left hand side.

Oh, **** sorry, just found the info from a buddies old VW Forum post and copied and pasted just in case anyone wanted to check this place out prior. Forgot to take out the time and place. I will go by there today just to check it out and see what type of Dyno it is.

Okay, so I have been meaning to check out this new place in New Braunfels and finally managed to do it this morning. Henderson Performance is located on the Loop in NB and let me say that it far exceeded what I expected.
They were closed but I knocked and the owners were there working so they opened the door and gave me a quick tour. They have an AWD Dyno and a 2WD Dyno in the 3000 SQ/FT shop. Let me just say that the level of vehicles in this garage was top notch. The shop was top notch as well and looked as if you could have eaten off the floors. I am **** retentive when it comes to workmanship and form the looks of it so are these guys.
The owner said he can fabricate headers for my 8 (not that I asked or that there would be much of a gain) and said he has fabricated headers for all types of cars. Bryan showed me some pics (fully blown domestic drag cars to a sick Cobra setup for autox) of some project cars and I was hooked after seeing what they have done. I have been toying with the install of my wet kit, heater, remote opener, purge, etc. and I think I may buck out and let them finish it based on some install pics of what they have done in the past. Admittedly they are not the cheapest place to do the install but the piece of mind for me would be well worth the extra cost.
It seriously made me quiver at the thought of what the guys could do to my 8. They have an AWD dyno day coming up with a club and can schedule one with a credit card for deposit. He quoted me $60.00 for 3 runs. I can't tell you how impressed I was. I have dealt with many shops over the years and have always been disappointed in one way or another which is why I have done most of my work myself. Shop cleanliness is a big indicator of quality as far as I'm concerned.
I don't know if they would like for me to post what cars were in the shop but let me just say they ranged from what looked to be a Factory Five/Shelby Cobra, Chevelle, Z06, and the sickest Mustang Cobra on the block.
just thought I'd share.
