Well in typical Thomas blunt *** whole fashion, I can tell you why I don't post up meets for new people any more: cuse the new people rarely show up. The problem is that they don't have the relationships established like we do, so they don't check the boards as often or as frequently as we do, and even having tried sending IM's to people to let them know about meets doesn't seem to work on them either.
So, I will show up to meets that I can make, but will not likely try to get meets together for new people unless I really really want a meet (like the cruise I setup less than a month ago....

You need to actually schedule a meet for a revival to happen anywhere else but the forum.
You can't hold me responsible for your personal life choices. I usually try to post them on both places for more exposure. I could understand not wanting a myspace site, and even in some instances a FB site, but dude you need to get with the program. Not having a FB page is almost like not having a smart phone.... Sure you can still communicate with people in other ways, its just not as effective...
yup yup, I loathe facebook but it does keep me in touch with people pretty effectively, mostly people who are in other states/cities if anything.
I refuse to tweet and will be the last person in the universe to get a twitter account though, it won't happen unless it becomes some type of bizarre work requirement or something.
You dfw guys ever thought of doing another Austin trip? I've been pondering putting together a drive or something but I just don't know if anyone here in Austin would do it, we have pretty low numbers of the texasrxs peeps and the atx 8 scene is pretty tiny now too...sucks.

Id be up for this, I am always doing austin to dfw drives. (7 needs e85 though so i might have to stop in the middle)

Crazy thing happened I've had what 6 cars since the incident, but now I have a 240sx with a SR20deT pushing a little over 550hp. It keeps me up there with the FD guys.

Alright fine. Honestly. I'm busy for about a week. But give me a few days and I'll post meet times/places. Multiple. Over the next few weeks. So you can all show or not. My hope is that they will gradually have more attendance if I plan a few all at once and you all have options. But I'll be at all of them. For sure. Cuz I'm the one that is talking **** so I'll put the effort out. This is important to me.

i may be getting a bike soon as well. theres a buell lightning x1 out in front of our house that hasnt moved in a week. drive belt missing. expired plates. once reported as abandoned the most recent owner on record has 20 days to claim the vehicle. if not it goes to auction. im gonna see if theyll let me snag it before auction but i doubt it. i will definitely follow it to auction tho
