Alright, so for people wanting to do the rally I've got:

So it looks like there are 2 possible teams. So now we just need to come up with team names. Let's hear them...

 

Do we all have a person that can be a Navigator?

 

My wife is pretty much always my navigator, she not bad at it either.

So that leads me to the next stage.

Step 1. Convince wife to let me do a road rally (money)
Step 2. Convince wife to be navigator for said road rally
Step 3. Convnce wife that getting up early on a Sat wont suck for said rally

If I get through all three steps I should be there in my 8, If not anyone need a navigator...?

 

Yeah I am still looking for a navigator.....Also though if someone else really wants to drive I woulndt mind being the Nav.

oh as for the team name..i was thinking since were all rotary's we should call ourselfs the Akagi Redsuns lol...or Redsuns..in regards to initial D

 

So wow, I severly over estimated the difficulty it would take to convince my wife all three steps, in fact, she seems to be showing more enthusiam for the event than myself lol.

So do we wait to register when we know who we will be teamed up with or do we register and decide all that later?

 

Where does that name come from? I did alittle history research on the rotary after I got my car but the only name that stuck out was wankel.

the akagi redsun is the team led by the 2 rich brothers who drives FC and FD.

i would not name the team that as ppl will look down on y'all

if you wanna have some initial D influence, name the team

Project W for project wankel or something. or Project Rotary

 

Anyone need a navigator? I would be down to ride shotgun with somebody.

I have a little experience (1 road rally) to contribute what tips and tricks I have learned thus far. I also have a portable GPS, it really helped us out last time to see what roads are coming up.

We also need a second name... maybe even a third. Teams are three cars, so we def need at least 2 names considering we have enough for two teams so right now it looks like 2 teams of 2 with possible a couple more.

ok, so as far as teams go... I'm sure it doesn't matter who's on who's team. The rules for teams is that there can be 3, only 3 cars per team. not 2 not 4, but 3. If there are more cars then, they can just tag along 'the odd man out'

Right now we have enough for 1 1/3 teams as for sures.

xsnipersgox and arlingtonrx8 aren't going to be able to make it, both of them are having issues with their cars. That leaves us with:

I'm fine with Project W. So what we need to decide, assuming there is going to be an odd-man out is who it's going to be. We don't all have to stick together and go the same speed, if some people are feeling more ballsy than the others that's fine. Sascha was saying that the Lotus team that won last year didn't finish together at all. It all comes down to solving the riddles I suppose, and if you can do it while speeding along, kudos.

When you register you will be asked for you name, navigator's name, car make/model/year/color, and you'll be asked for a team name. So that's where we enter that. If we decide to change names or teams I'm sure we could do it up until 9:29am of May 3 since they have registration there too. I will probably register tomorrow (Thursday) Just because I will be bored at work.

Yeah, you can register online, but I think we should figure out who's going to be on team 1. and who's going to be on team two.

 

So who for sure is driving? Scott (987hys?) and I had talked and we decided we could pair up.
