Ang (aka agcutie) is ok but her car (aka scarlet) is in the hospital tonight.... i'm sure Ang will post and let you all know how things are going or if i find out more i'll post but lets all hope the doctors can put her (scarlet) back together again... if not they will have to put her to sleep.... everybody cross their fingers they don't....

ive got mine crossed for my car so ill cross my eyes and toes for scarlet.

my second gear syncro finally went out and now its a pain to get into second gear. oh well thats what warranties are for

 

rev match your tranny when shifting into second and you'll be ok untill you get it fixed

 

What happened to Angie??

 

she had a little fender bender..... she was in traffic and it stopped suddenly in front of her... she tried to get to the brake and the heel of her shoe got stuck i guess and slammed into the back of another car.....

Thanks guys, yeah, I gotta say mad props for the five star safety rating-they're not kidding! Tomorrow I'm gonna have to cry over her but tonight I'm still numb-saw my life flash before my eyes, was convinced I was dead...still shaking violently eight hours later...

Sadly I'm 100% convinced Scarlet is a vegetable-no way is it not totalled. She deserved better.

And Brian, thanks for givin everyone the short version-sounds like my foot got glued to a pedal or something, lol-it was my HIGH HEEL SHOE. Done in true random Angela fashion like every other aspect of the car-hey, that bulb is outta my headlight now at least.

yeah i saw the whole car and im glad shes ok... her front is completely fucked... i feel so bad for her and lets hope she gets a brand new 8... call her Scarlet ... im sorry Angie... ill let you drive mine like i said if you want...

 

thats what ive been doing and it still grinds my tranny is screwed, my warranty should cover it though so im not so worried.

ill bet she pulls through the booboos shes got. ive seen some really messed up 8s that i thought would be totalled and they are all better now

Dude... that blows If your car is totalled I seriously hope you get another 8, cuse man it would just suck for you to drive a "normal" car again... its making me shudder just thinkin about it.

This sounds like a freak accident. Makes me not want to teach my g/f how to drive manual like I said I would. She wears high heels all the time.

My brother almost got in an accident a few years ago (not an RX-8) because his wife treats the backseat like a trash can. Plastic coke bottle rolled under the seat and got stuck under the brake. After that it drives me crazy for ANYTHING to be in the floorboard in the backseat.

Thanks guys, I'll still see you all out at meets. Maybe it's just too soon but as of now, I have no intention of getting another 8. Scarlet was too close to my heart to try to replace, if that makes any damn sense...I need to mourn before getting another. And I need to let her go and take some time to let myself miss the 8...but no matter what...know that I'll be sporting the "pistons are for quitters" sticker on any piece of crap excuse car in true rotary lover fashion.

Thanks again for the thoughts and comments guys, I really appreciate it. I felt like I left my identity crushed on 635 yesterday afternoon and it's really really helped that you guys haven't written me out of the club-thanks.

 

A Tahoe & an 8?? That just wasn't a fair fight!!

 

Well I hit him so hard his airbags popped out...and he hit the Ranger in front of him so...I think he got a little screwed also. :\ AND Scarlet held on to his bumper when the tow truck pulled him off of her...as you can see in that one pic. Anyway, I will never ever again wear high heels in the car. Ever.

On a side note...I finally got behind the wheel again last night and went for a drive in my sister's car. Must've been more effected than I thought because I was driving so slow, a CAMRY flew around me all mad and cut me off. OWNED. Ugh.

Should be hearing from the insurance today to see if it's totalled out or not...lol and Thomas already PM'd me so...it may just be better to have the clears "disappear" than to start fights. Plus they were a gift...so it may be wrong to sell them/hand them out anyway....
