DFW Lake Meet....interested?
 

So I have been thinking about this and I thnk we should do a DFW crew lake meet....It is hot as hell out there so I think it would be fun to be able to get out, BBQ and go swimming and what not. I don't care what lake (lewisville, lake worth, ray hubbard) but I think that we could have a blast! get out have some good food, swim, drink some cold ones, maybe play some football and hangout with some good people.

Lets see who all is interested and pick a Saturday to do this! :smiley309

it should be on a sunday. and lake lewisville is just full of bodies and alligators. so not there

My vote would be lake texoma. It's only a 45 min drive from Plano and has a lot of nice beaches and park land. I would suggest having it on a Sunday, than those who are interested could go up on Saturday and camp. Could also make a run to the casinos Saturday night or find a bar on the lake to hang at.

How about Possum Kingdom lake? Haven't been there yet (new to the area) but it's supposed to be pretty nice.

I like that idea!! I've got a buddy who used to live up near Sherman (on the way) and he's constantly telling me about a stretch of highway that would be awesome to drive in the 8. Maybe cruise up Saturday afternoon...camp/drink/gamble/etc Saturday night and then lake fun on Sunday. Head back that evening.

Fuck Gambling... lol, meh its all good i suppose, while yall lose money ill be relaxing in the sand getting my Tan on...haha

I like much2saxy's idea... except with part of joes in it as well... Possum kingdom is supposed to be the shit... maybe i can ask my friends for their lakehouse or something because a few of them have Lakehouses out there... Wish me luck...

im on cedar creek lake every weekend.... its a good hang out lake with no freaking game wardens to get you for drinking and acting stupid

Cool lake, but beware of the police... speed traps everywhere! I'm talking hidden speed limit signs, speed limits that change for 10 ft & aren't posted.. They took me & the family for $300 last time I was there... Evil little po-dunk towns.

i like joes idea of texoma we can camp on my property up there its only a mile from the lake. there are a few nice beaches within 5 minutes and the casino is only 20 minutes

I was out there Memorial weekend and didn't see any lake po-po's or game wardens. Gonna be out there again this weekend.

my company has land right next to lake texoma, its pretty nice there. i drive to texoma every thursdays those stretches are nice but, its flooded with cops.


my company also has land right near it too the drop off cliffs are amazing, and the drive there has a lot of curves for the 8 either or will do for me.

Slots are not random and craps provides your best odds.

well... i dont have enough money to bet... and unless your a "Re-TARD" (Hangover) and can win by counting cards I'll probably keep my money in my pocket... but just maybe ill bet...

As for Lake Texoma... im down either way... it sounds really fun but as long as we all head there together, i dont want another ticket....

As for Possum Kingdom, Curvy roads sound awesome but aren't those curvy roads flooded with police as well??? if anything the curvy roads make it worse...

This is true... but certain places are more known for Speed traps etc... EX: Small towns that make hardly any money so they stop everyone that speeds... Where as in bigger cities the police have "bigger fish to fry" than to stop everyone for speeding... if they did that they'd probably get in trouble since Dallas/Fort Worth already has Traffic issues...

i like how this started off as a saturday lake meet and is now a weekend camping trip at a casino with some lake.
