The next RoadRally in the 2008 SCCA Championship RoadRally Series will be held Saturday, August 9.

The Mountain Creek Classic rally will begin at Turner Park in Grand Prairie, and end at Joe Poole Lake Marina restaurant.

This year's course has some great country roads, and some challenging rally tests. This was last year's 2nd most popular event.

I live right next to Joe Pool...but are roadrallies really that fun?

 

I did the rally from plano to texas motor speed way and yeah it was more fun then I thought it would be.....You take a lot of back roads that no one is on with a lot of turns and what not. You basically have to try not to get lost as well, but anyways it was fun so I am up for doing it again.

 

I'm down for this as well, would def like to try and compete for the team trophy this time.

 

Yeah, Scott and I did this one last year, it was a lot of fun! From what Scott told me, though it's not the same as the one you guys did last time. But I do still have the instructions/directions from the last one if anyone wants me to forward them so you can have a look. I think I'm free that weekend so I'm in!

Teams are 3 cars so we could always make 2 teams if we get enough people. It would be cool to make it a big RX8 showing.

Just a note to everyone that has not done a road rally, a car is TWO people, i.e. a driver and a navigator.... trust me you REALLY need the navigator for things like this.

 

I'm looking for a navigator, if I can find one I'll most likely be there!

Sounds like we are close to being able to have 2 teams of 3.....just need a few more people to get interested.

 

im needin a navigator but i might bring a friend of mine to be my navigator if he can get off work that day

 

Truth be told: Me and my navigator were just "ending our night" on the morning of the last rally. I'd so like to attend, but I guess I'm unreliable.

 

I'll volunteer to be a navigator for someone...unless my sister wants to come, then I'll probably make her my navigator. Yall just keep me posted!

OK, quit jawing and register! There are 18 entries now, which will probably grow to 30 by Saturday. Four 3-car teams: Crossfire, Mini, Subaru, and Italian Car Club.

Who else is coming DEFININTLY i.e. I dont want to show up on staruday and not have a full team because somone didnt want to get up early on a Sat morning like last time.
