Chilifest

Is anyone here going? It's April 1-2 with some good concerts, down in College Station. Jessie and I have already signed up.

Yep. You camp Fri night, cook all day Sat & enter the contest and then listen to bands starting at noon or so. I have an itinerary. I think it's at A&M....

Oh stop it. It's not a school-sponsored event. It just happens to be in the area.

GooOnYou . . . are you currently in Aggieland? I live in Bryan. I looked at your signature and I would like to see your Rotary Extreme CAI if possible. Let me know.

I can honestly say that Chilifest has provided me with a couple of the best days of life. It is so much fun. 3 years ago we had about 50 guys go in and get 4 spaces on the end of a row. We put up a huge tent and ahd the typical couches and whatnot. The kicker was one of those little rides that you put quarters into that you find outside of grocery stores. Well, ours was a little pony that we put up on a 4ft. high table/stage. I probably rode that little pony 100 times and it never got old.

A few year back when it rained so bad there was several mud involved events which were fun...until you sobered up.

Is it true that you cannot take kegs out there anymore?

I believe so. We're having to buy beer, provided by the event, ahead of time and only in cans.

Not to hijack the thread or anything, but who did I wave at in a Ti Gray at the corner of G.Bush and Bizzell on Sat, March 5?

Edit (In C.S.)
