Cars Salesman in Austin

I am thinking of applying for a job at a local Mazda dealership (Mazda South) or even any other dealership as a car salesman. I'm doing this because I need to take time off from school and get my life back on track. What should I do to prepare myself for this job?

buy a time machine and travel back to a point when car dealerships weren't closing by the bucket full everyday and thousands of car salesmen weren't already looking for new jobs.

I know with the market and economy it isn't the best job. But it's only temporary and I would be around cars which would make me happy.

Well, still not exactly the way to "get your life back on track" by choosing a deadend job. Just take a look at the auto sales statistics. It's in the crapper... and honestly, I wouldn't want "car salesman" anywhere on my resume.

What are you going to school for?
