I was in BR last June/July on business and saw a gray 8 in the hotel parking lot. I know they are out there. But, considering the way BR people drive, I'd be afraid to drive mine there. Everyone drives while on their cell phone and no one really pays attention to their driving.
I was rear ended in the parking lot of McDonalds by some idiot who was trying to get out of someone elses way who was backing up. A real genius.

I was near and within the city all last week for Christmas. But I live in Florida now. I didn't know anyone that had an 8 in the Hammond/Ponchatoula area when I lived there either so I guess I'm not much help. Good luck finding folks!
The traffic is still horrible too. I believe that BR has the worst drivers in the US hands down. Green, yellow, and red all seem to mean go?! And if you are trying to turn left without a green arrow you are wasting your time, people will block the road just watch you turn red-faced.

I agree about the driving here. I have lived in Charlotte NC, Orlando FL, Longbeach CA and Nashville TN. BR is by far the worst. They pay absolutely no attention to the traffic lights. You have to wait 5 seconds before pulling out from your green light just to make sure no one is running their red. The funny thing is that it's acceptable behaviour.
Anyway...I hope I get more responses!

I just drove from Fort Worth to Houston on 45, then Houston to New Orleans on 10 and the same route back home. Total of 18 hours driving and I didn't see a single other 8 on the road. That's just crazy!!!! I will admit though, I feel kinda special that I was the only 8 out there. Makes the other drivers crazy 'cause the 8 is sweet!

Next time you visit I10 east of Houston to Louisiana, let me know, we can own the road together for a while. I and a 350z lit the lanes from winnie all the way to Laffayyette. By the time we got there, we had a Celica GTS, a C5, and a InfinityG35 playing cat and mouse...funny how a few cars can haul butt, and then the rest fall in...

I am in Baton Rouge, but my 8 is sitting at Hollingsworth(less) Mazda waiting on them to hire a mechanic who is able/willing to work on rotaries... it has been there for a month due to CEL. I cant pass inspection atm. If anyone knows of a shop in the area that will work on rotary engines please let me know!
