for track driving I'd also look at NASA & Driver's Edge (and similar). I'm at every NASA-TX event, but usually with my race MR2.
be willing to travel outside of the super close stuff to you - DFW area has some good tracks, TWS is great, and there's stuff in Houston too

^^^ OP Let me know what you plan to do if youd like a companion soon. Im working on my car and getting it ready... Was thinking about looking into some NASA events. http://www.dlbracing.com/ is a good place to start, I went to a few of those and they are fun.
Thank Yall for all this valuable information! I will be looking into all this starting after Christmas.. especially with the comment up there "Get your Wallet Ready" Is this going to get expensive and why?
its all in how deep you want to get into it - to just do it casually to have fun autox won't be bad and even track stuff won't be terrible. If you want to go off the deep end, get super competitive in a class that allows alot of mods, do every event you can, start racing or whatever on tracks, etc then costs start piling on pretty quick.
