hey guys, just wanted to let everyone know there is a autocross event this sunday at red river raceway in shreveport. My friend has convinced me to give it a try in my 8 so this will be my first ever autocross. If anybody goes feel free to come chat for a minute. It would be nice to have some other RX8s racing.

Well, sunday has come and gone and i was the only rx8 there. It was a fun experience. They ended up putting me in STU because of my track pipe. I think there were only 3-4 cars in that class. I had a hard time at first getting to know the course and my first two passes I D&F'd. My third run i made it in 69.2 sec.
As the rain let up and the course dried i started getting better times: 62.8, 61.8, 60.5, and my best time and last pass was 58.8 sec. The fasted car there was a late 90's cobra and he ran 53.x on his best pass. Overall i had a blast at my first autocross. I look forward to doing it again

After I get my FD running. I'll be giving it a shot as well since I'm only 45min away from there.

hopefully you can get the car done soon. It would be nice to see some other rotaries out there. Im actually gonna be at the base next weekend for the airshow. They usually have a pretty good show.

I'm getting deployed in June, after I come back In winter the car will undergo surgey involving swapping a rebuilt engine, single turbo and supporting mods.
