What a great day I had yesterday, didn't have to be at work, it was a payday, found a good place for cheap 5w20, and then on my way to get a haircut a Silver 8 pulls up next to me on 183, I couldn't see who was driving it (mspeed11?) but it was modded and had black wheels and stickers on the back window. well just when I think it can't get any better, I got to go see the Beastie Boys for free last night!! A good friend of mine also treated me to some souvenirs, while we were on our quest for refreshments we found this one concession stand that was "beer only", we got to talking with the ladies working there and one of them had an RX8 shirt (?!), so I was like "cool shirt, I have an 8 sitting at home right now", and then the other beer lady next to her says" yep, so do I" (more ?!) So anyway, howdy to you guys if you're on here, oh, and the show rocked! Mixmaster Mike is always fun to watch/hear and he was on fire last night, could have done w/o the political crap they kept bringing up (I'm beginning to wonder if the celebs are on Kerry's payroll, yeesh, stick to music already) but the show was a blast, especailly since they played a lot of stuff off of "Paul's Boutique".

Havent seen any silvers tricked out? Just one with a mazdaspeed kit without the rear spoiler that I met at Walmart......come to think of it he was getting graphite colored Volks GT7's.

 

yeah, the one I saw on 183 didn't have a spoiler either, looked super clean

 

I am often on 183, Parmer, Mopac, and have a Silver 8 but mine has the rear spoiler and it is not modded... maybe you will run into the owner at tonight's meeting of the Texas RXs club meeting at Rudy's... I think at 8pm.

 

I'm still trying to make one of those meets as I live close-by, way too much personal stuff going on right now though to get away for a bit someday, ah yes, someday

 

I was in Austin this weekend, and a V-Red RX-8 was parked next to my car in the downtown Hilton garage, next to the convention center. Anyone care to step up and reveal thyself?

 

I was in Austin too at the same time but I don't have an RX-8.

All you people pack up for 1 weekend and head up to Tyler... I am pretty sure everybody's heads would be turned at us....

So far we would have a Red (me), Yellow, and Silver rolling up here.

I will help revive this necro'd thread from the few 8s I've seen in ATX this year. I think all of them have been on I 183.

Saw a silver S2 southbound once, black S1 northbound with an air force sticker, and red S2 with dealer tags that I gave a thumbs up to way back earlier in the year. Saw 2 or so at night near downtown but couldn't tell the color.

Curious that there isn't more ATX representation on the forums...

 

The Rx8 scene isn't as big as it used to be 6-7 years ago... not that it was big to begin with, but I don't normally see that many 8's running around as I used to. ill be luck to see maybe 1 or 2 in a week.

 

I saw 2!! series 1's today, both on north lamar. One was blue with a bodykit, the other was red. Red guy waved back, couldn't tell about blue because his windows were deep tint.
