Hey everyone I'm recently out of the army and just getting in to the scene. I always loved rx7s and now I've had my 8 for a year or so. Anyways, I plan on turning up to the TexasRXs meets in the future (couldn't make the Bluebonnet meet unfortunately) and I hang out saturday nights at the mixed meet in Cedar Park with my buddy who drives a 350z. Look for my black 8 with black wheels next to a silver 350z with black wheels. I've yet to see another RX8 at this meet, though!

So what does everyone else in the Austin area do as far as the auto scene goes? Any cool events or groups I should check out?

If that meet in Cedar Park is where an old circuit city used to be you missed me by a few months as I used to go out there quite a bit and the guys who helped with my paintwork usually go there, one guy has a Mustang with flames (Kevin) and the other an SRT Challenger (fred). Come on out to the meeting on the 27th if you can, we've moved it to a nicer place with better parking and better food than where we were meeting before so hopefully some 8's will start showing again. With any luck I might make that meeting in my car (I'll be there regardless)but we still have a lot of tweaks we're wanting to finish before the magazine shoot so I'm not 100% sure on that yet.

 

Ya it's the meet near the Tinsel Town and Chic-Fil-a. I also have an 86' 300z that is my slowly progressing project car which one day I'll show off.
I can't wait to see your 8 up close, canary. That's some good looking work.

As far as the Texas 8 event, I may be able to show up for the Saturday but I don't think I'll be able to make friday or sunday.
