Austin Custom Car & Hotrod Show
Good Morning Gang!
The Beasley Group has taken over title sponsorship of the car show this year from longtime sponser Spillar Custom Hitches. I'm going to be fixing up an RX-8 with the Mazdaspeed body kit and wheels for the show and bringing up a tuner Miata and PR5 from the regional offices. They tried to get us a Mazdaspeed Miata but none have made it to the states yet. The show will be Jan 2 thru the 4th. I'll try to post some pictures when the 8 is done if you can't make it to the show. If I don't see any of you before New Years, have a great Christmas and a safe New Year! Zoom,Zoom,Zoom, Zoom Zoom Zoom Zoom!!!

Pics are up
I went along today armed with my digicam. Pics are posted here.
One thing I noticed was the lack of fog lights. This was a Sport+Nav car, which mould originally have had fogs, but the MS kit blocks off the area where the lights are originally mounted. Should they have been relocated somewhere else, or does the MS nose preclude their use?

There's apparently a kit that is also available that has an adapter bracket that will permit the mounting of the fog lights, but we weren't able to get it in time. The car sure got a lot of attention at the show. I was a little concerned about how the gold wheels would look on the titanium, so we also got a set of the gunmetal wheels, but they didn't have the polished rin and looked a little too stealthy for a show.
