Hey! I'm in NLR... Ordered my 1/8/03 from North Point. Called em today they're still saying 3rd week of july. I've seen in the discussion forum where some people's ETAs have been bumped up from week 2 to week 1. I'm hoping mine gets bumped from week 3 to week 2.

Did you Pre-Order or are you getting on of the 5 dealer allotments. I pre-ordered on 1-5-03 and am getting REALLY excited. If you did pre-order do you know why we are not getting our e-mails from Mazda? If you did not pre-order ,e-mail me and I'll loan you the Pre-Order Book that was sent .

I think your right with ordering the appearence pkg , I should have ordered it to but once it became available my order was locked in ! Are you getting the leather or cloth ?

It won't be long now that our cars are "on the water" I think we will be zoom-zoomin' by mid July.

Hey guys,

Looks like the news of the day says the cars are due to the dealers in the next week or two.....anybody heard anything about Superior's allotment?

Hey AsNrx8 & wizardrummer ,

I have a weird felling that our cars may be ready at the end of next week , how do I know ? I have to be out of town at the end of next week and in my line of work my weekends are occupied !

Hey AsNrx8, are you going to get a vanity plate , your thread with Halley has started my mind to wonder about the options .

:p

Any of you guys want to make a prediction on when we get our cars?

Also, are you guys financing through Mazda or have you gotten your loans elsewhere?

Ok Arkansas people ,

Prepare for the WORST ! I spoke with Ken @ Superior , He happily told me that my car was due by week 4 of AUGUST ! OMFG!!!!!!! I told him that the people that work for me won't be able to handle me for that long , he didn't realize that I wasn't joking !! I think he is giving me the worst case . I ordered my car BEFORE he ordered his , why am I getting mine last ? wtf !? At least I got the thermos & mug ( only slightly happy )

Hey Wizardrummer , are you getting a vanity plate ? AsNrx8 was looking for ideas also. How much of a headache is that process going to be for us ?

i can't believe he said 4th week of August for you Tyler. That's just too long of a wait especially when you were anticipating a july delivery. Did Ken mention anything about his other cars in his allotment? I'm hoping i still get mines sometime this month. The last time I checked my vin it was status 20-on water and that was about 2 weeks ago. hopefully it's at port now. i'm keeping my hopes up. BTW...i finally received my book. i didn't think i was gonna get it either, but i haven't got any of the other gifts.

As for my vanity plate...i think i'm still going to get it. at first i wanted it to be RX 8, but everyone in the US is going to have that so i think i am going to put my name, cause it's very short, and then RX8 after it. you think that would be ok?

hi wizard...i think i'm going to finance through mazda. it just seems less stressful to me

i was going to guess that Tyler was going to get his car first since he preordered way before i did, but since reading his last thread, i don't think it will be him. i'm guessing maybe and hopefully me i ordered may 10, 2003 from ken's allotment.

Have you talked to Superior about the ETA of your car? I ordered mine from his allotment as well....about the same time as you. I find it hard to believe that he is not getting his first allotment til the end of August. That's two months longer than he originally told me that he'd have the cars.

Tyler, is your car part of his allotment? Did Ken give you any indication as to why yours (ours) is going to take so long?

I am bumming out for you man..........BTW/ I've decided against a personalized plate. It looks like the process is fairly painless though, if you want to get one.

Man.........., end of August - that SUCKS

Whats' up ,
I've been fuming all day !!!!
The eternal optimist in me says that Ken is simply doing his dealer vodoo and giving me a worst projection! (fingers/toes/everything else crossed) I was too angry to mention in my last post that the cars for both of you are still due very soon ( either of you want to give a brother a ride ?? ) that was one of the reason i'm all in a tizzie.

wizardrummer ,
Is there a website that I can check out the process for vanity plates? I think I have a good one but I don't want to broadcast it here .
To your question , I ordered on 1/8 ( before Ken ordered his ). He called to confirm my order while I was in the process of moving into a apt. here ! I finialized my order soon after . I was not part of his package of cars .

AsNrx8,
I'm going to use MazdaCredit again also, this will be my 3rd Mazda in a row and have had no problems .

PM if your interested in my plate idea .

Tyler,

Here's a thread I started that ibfubar2000 tells how to get a vanity plate. The only downside I see is that you have to send your choices off to Little Rock (I think) to get processed. I believe you give them 3 choices and they process accordingly. Seems like it said that they won't tell you on the phone or net if a name is available.

http://www.rx8forum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6210

Well, I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that your car will not take anywhere near that long ,Tyler.

If I get mine before you, you can count on a visit to Chuck E's to let you get a second-hand RX-8 fix while you wait.

don't worry tyler....i'll bring my car by chuck e cheese, but i won't rub it in, i know you're already feeling bad enough :p

AsNrx8,

Hang in there.....

I JUST TALKED to Superior yesterday and they told me 3-4 more weeks, and I then I got this e-mail last night..........

I'm not sure what to believe anymore!

I'll believe it when I sign on the dotted line and feel that adrenaline rush when I pull out in that Springdale traffic in my bright shiny black RX

Tyler,

Did Ken tell you the car was indeed en route to the dealer?

(IE; their reports show the car is in transit to the dealer)

If so, how did he explain that he had just told you the end of August?

All contact that I've had with MNAO have been accurate so far , Ken has changed the date several times ! I want to be an optimist , I think it's coming ( why would they send the e-mail to us )

IbFubar & Budaman have stated that the reports are 2+ days behind the ground .

MAN DON'T BE NEGATIVE , YOUR BRINGING ME DOWN !

sorry I hate sunday mornings

hhmmmm ...... what songs on the cd ...... hhmmm ??

Chill man, put on some Queensryche and relax!

You're spending too much time around giant rodents and screaming children.....you're obviously not sleeping well, tossing, turning, dreaming..........

It's coming soon

3-4 more weeks....

But, but, but I got an e-mail

OK only 3 more weeks

But, but

Tyler.........WAKE UP
