crap! i was off last thursday and now this one i have to work! you guys need to schedule your meets around when i am off! jk! i miss you guys though! and i cant even go to the austin meet because i got a freakin ticket and i have to deal with that!maybe someday i will be able to see yall again! if all else fails we have kareoke (i cant spell because i cant sing) and big *** beers on thursday night all night.. off 635 and kingsley!! come see me!! You should! I still think he's been imagining you this whole time. Frankly, I'm getting kinda worried. He works all the time and never rests and the infamous "liquid" is the result.

(BTW, I had to clean the house last meet so ALWAZL8 would have a place to sleep.)

Actually, i can not make it out for about another month. I have a class on Thursday Nights that is eating up alot of time.

 

I just got back from 3 days of drink... err.. meetings.. yea..
so yea.. it was good fun..
Yes.. I work too much, but it pays off.. see.. i got an award.. only the top 10 non-management employees in our entire company got this award. That's 10/1800 or 1 in 180 or < 1%.
So I get to go with the other 9 people (from several other offices that we have) to 3 days worth of meetings that really are all about us.
I've worked with a lot of people in the company but not met too many so I got to meet a good deal of the management, upper management and leadership in this company. I'm now on a first name basis with our CIO and his cabinet.
So finally, I get recognized for all of the time I put in and do you know what I did when the meetings ended today at noon? I went to work
When you like what you do, and you like the people you work with, you'll work hard and do a good job no matter how many hours or how much sanity it takes from your life.

So, I'll still be there tomorrow. I've gotta talk to people about how i'm gonna install this sat radio since my PIE adapter got here today.

The DSC and TCS lights were on when I started it as well as the TPMS light. I guess it's cold. I drove to the gas station, put air in the tires and restarted the car and all the lights went out.
The TPMS was on before anywa but the DSC and TCS have never done that. I wonder if that's a symptom of disconnecting the battery.

Glad you got the pie installed...did you go with the commander for your sat? if so, you should have put the unit next to the pie up top last night, assuming that's where you left it.

And yes, unhooking the battery will set off those two lights...i freaked the first time i did it. :P

I might not make it tonight, something about a conversion at work...i should know about 6:30 wether i'll be there or not...stupid RL...oh well.

liqiud stopped by to help me finish the install (well, it's not finished but it's useable) so I've got it setup for tonight.
We ended up having to pull the stereo again (which was much faster this time) because the PIE cable wasnt all the way in. I still need to find a good way to mount the thing but I'll figure that out eventually.

Right now it's just kinda floating. It works but it's not held in place by anything more than the wires that connect it.
I'll be modifying it all weekend to get it installed the way I want.

The first thing I'm going to do is purchase a cigarette lighter outlet and disconnect and remove the one in the car now. Then I'm going to put that one behind the center console and run the power through there.

Next I'm probably going to take out my dremel tool and remove the divider in the ashtray area. Then I'm going to actually mount my head unit in the spot there.

The goal is to be able to close the ashtray lid with the unit still connected inside of it.

It sounds awesome btw. I keep thinking it's going to skip when I hit a bump or railroad tracks.
